To make an extension to fit on the existing tube we still need to increase the diameter buddy. It has to go at 18mm:)
I can see how that would increase the diameter of the device. In lieu of a telescope. would it be possible to instead make an extension accessory tube to allow for the extension to a 14650 battery for those who do not mind a longer PV? This would allow for the diameter to stay within specs for the Penelope, meet the need for the 14500 crowd and also allow for the use of the 14650 for prolonged battery life for those who do not mind a longer form factor?

Sincerely;

Perhaps then a small threaded piece of the same tubing and diameter of the device to allow for the larger battery? Or maybe even two different length tubes for the mod itself, one for 14500 and one for 14650 which would be selectable at the ordering page on the retailers websites as a drop down feature?

2 tubes is the only solution Darth. Yes, we can do that, not a problem:)

If you try, you find. Great thought buddy, cheers

YAY!!! I knew if I kept thinking long enough, I might actually come up with something you might be able to use to make the 14xxx Mod possible and also keep everyone happy at the same time while maintaining the ability to keep it the same diameter as the Penelope that it was designed for :D

I am not a real "Designer" type person but I was trying to exercise the Logic side of my brain and the simplistic side as well to try and make it a good recommendation as well as something that could be made as well rather than a lot of the Really hard to do ideas that while they would make the "Perfect Mod" they may not be possible to create at this time :D

Thank you so much IMEO for everything you do for us;

I thank you too Darth for being a wonderful person:)

Thank you so much my Friend, you are the Wonderful Person, you do everything humanly possible to make every single one of us happy with the great devices you put so much time and effort into making.

And your personal responses to everyone make you one of a very select few who fall in to the Truly Incredible Category;

i have nothing to add to all of the great input from the veterans over the past couple of days.

i do want to ask though "how many mod makers actually ASK for there customers input on what they are designing?"

Imeo is the only one that i am aware of.

I love being part of the GG family!

I have said it before i will take 2 of whatever imeo makes.

Dear Imeo,
I would love a GG Grant style mechanical mod. Maybe you could re-release the Proteus as a Grant (it vaped fantastic) and keep the list. I understand that you wanted a VV mod, however, the Grant was by far the hardest hitter I have ever had and it used a 1400 batttery. I am a very heavy vaper and did get good time out of it. Major and you put so much efford in the Proteus pre-order list, why not keep the list but change it to a mechanical mod looking similar to the Grant. I am sure a lot of people would like that, but maybe I am wrong? Thanks Imeo, hope it will all work out for you :)

How about doing something like side by side it dos not have to be a long tube with the penny on top, I can see it nicer if you do a box and the battery next to the penny
So it will be 2 tubes next to each other one for the battery and the other for the penny

sorry imeo, i'll be repetitive but i do not find anything wrong in wish the first GG box mod entirely of steel :w00t:, is so far from the style GG a box instead of a tube mod?
with a box, small, would be resolved the doubts about vv circuit and batteries.

Just my personal opinion but.............

THUMBS WAY DOWN!!!!!!!!

I have seen a LOT of box dual tube style mods and I find them to be repulsive looking. Now I did see a box mod on the classifieds yesterday that had the Penelope inside of it, but it was a wooden box mod. Great Idea for a Box Mod Fanatic but I just do not find it to be in keeping with the standards we have become accustomed to for the Golden Greek line of products.

Agreed 150%. GG does not equal a box mod. To me gg is high quality tube mods and rebuildables (or the like in the case of the ufs).

I am not one to ever want a box. Too clunky and does not go with the styling imeo has made.

There is a brand "Golden Greek" then there's the "brand" being tube mods/rebuildables that are high quality and easily recognizable. Asking imeo to build a box is like asking Nike to build a car. Just kinda goes against the grain of what their objective is and would be too much of a change of pace.

Imeos already got a winner in his current lineup. A drastic change like that may be a costly "test" that can either end up in failure or achievement. I just don't think the risk is worth the reward.

Just my two cents.
