Proteus doesnt have a lid with channels like GGTS has set. Maybe you saw the "channeled" CR?

Might be nice to have the polished SS with a satiny brass finish like in the pic. Cant wait to see Proteus finished. Congrats again Imeo on another amazing product.

I don't agree I can smell the brass, on a GG it's like that new car smell, nothing better.
I agree 1000% never ever experienced a smell of brass or any other metal. Perhaps because I'm so happy not to smell of cigarettes
I think some are more sensitive to brass and the smell. Kind of like faux gold and the green ring it leaves. More acid in sweat makes it worse for some. It's all body chemistry and different from person to person. I myself am not prone to it.

i got mixed feelings about the brass ...
it works fine with the ggts, giving it a nice steampunk touch ... i love it there, since it hase many individual parts that are seperated from each other.
for a smooth and slender piece as the proteus is appearently going to be i am not very sure if the polished "gold" look will be too much bling ... or if looks cheap when the brass is not polished and matt ...
all steel would probably cause less arguing (but will cut down the salary of devrdull &co. )

brass section will stay because it gives a very nice tone to my opinion. As for the video, I will do it after electronics will be assembled

I live in a hot coastal city where brass turns green in a couple of days due to the kind of air we have here I guess. I don't have a GG brass part yet but anything brass if kept lying around becomes dark green and black in surprisingly less time. Hence have always bought SS GG stuff.
I am not saying I won't buy the proteus in brass if that's the only option, I don't think it's going to be lying around anyways. Just want to give Imeo another aspect to think about
