Dont check the videos but only what I wrote under the videos SS. Look especially at the last number:)

I hate to be that guy, but...I received my Penelope today and it is beautiful, but I am having a few issues with it. First, the lower connection nut does not screw flush with the bottom of the center post making it impossible to close the wire in it. Second, I built the coil and did everything exactly the same as the Ody, but when I tried to screw everything into the base, it won't go down far enough to be flush with 510 connector. It just stops.
I washed everything very well, I lubricated everything, I re-cleaned all of the threads. As I said, I did everything as I would my Ody.
The lower connection nut seems like a possible manufacturing flaw.
Any help would be appreciated.

Navy did the trick with pliers if you check the video well SS:)
It is a 1/8 inch gap. I have wrapped it 3-4 times around the center post, but since it doesn't even come remotely close to holding it in place the only thing that keeps it from popping off is the nut around the ceramic housing. I watched the video by Imeo and Navy Lifeguard and in both the nut makes contact similar to the Ody.

:toast:......................
Thanks Chris. Worked like a charm.

Thanks again to all of you, here in the GG family, for your help. I know that it has been said a ridiculous number of times on this site, but I love how everyone pulls together and tries to help each other out.

quality is the sameinva. I will tell you about those things you mention:

Thank you very much for your nice words inva, be well my good friend:)

1. Threads on top cap are not damaged. Sometimes threads are rough in some items so screw-unscrew it some times with vaseline on them and they will be like they suppose to be. 2500 pieces are too much so sometimes not all parts are the same. But this issue is easy to be fixed
2. I already said what happened to center post of penelope. Same was happening to Ody but you didnt saw it because Ody came assembled and I did the work that you have to do with penelope.
3. Mouthpiece is not off center. Its exactly like Ody. But the fat o-ring prevents the mouthpiece to "roll" as Ody does. So you dont screw cap very hard or push a little the mouthpiece to come on center
I got my penelope today, and after spending a fair amount of time getting it into working order, I love the vape!

But on the subject of set up time, I am unfortunately a little unhappy with the build quality. I would say that penelope is about 80% the quality of odysseus in my opinion. maybe i just got a bum build, but heres what I found.

The threads on the top cap are damaged and the threading is very rough. and, the lower nut on the positive post was cross threaded, and would not close all the way till i tapped the nut. And the mouth piece is kindof notch-y when turning to adjust juice. This being said, I do LOVE my penelope. And I think, now that i have cleaned up the threads where needed, the rest of the issues will break in over time. Imeo did a hell of a job designing this, and I am thoroughly impressed.

Thanks Imeo for another wonderful piece of kit, and I am REALLY looking forward to your future projects!

p.s. dont let my woes get you down, Im sure mine was just a fluke!

we only use pliers when an issue is appearing rox. Also pliers will not hurt the nut because its knurled:) :)

Hahaha imeo it was a joke because of the word "nut" and pliers toguether ;)

Btw i made some scratches on my penelope because the tube/tank was getting very tight so i had to use tools to get it unscrew, even with covers still got dings but its no problem :) anyway do you think its possible to use a different oring in the base so it dont get that tight ? I have big hands/fingers and its a pain for me to work with it.

ah, I dont understand english jokes, sorry rox
As for the base o-ring, you can put vaseline on it or put a smaller o-ring. The existing one is 11x1,5. Use a 10x1,5:)

Hey guys use rubber bands to take apart difficult GG parts. The rubber grips the slippery surfaces and does not hurt it.

Puff didnt think about it but its ok the dings are not something big :) only on angles you can see.

Thanks for the tip.

Great, il see if i can find it locally cause i dont like to use vaseline etc cause it will just start to create a build.

i dont think that vaseline will do that but if you dont like it you can lube o-rings with oil. Its has the same result rox:)

Use condoms to prevent direct contact :)

Also, notice the Vice Grips logo? Resemble any other logos? Imeo's is much better.

Had to try the Penelope on an old KGO battery. Works great, very pocket friendly.

Let me apologize in advance, Bourbonman you just happened to fall in the line of fire on this one..Lets say I owe you one
At least the Vise-Grips wont get Penelope pregnant.
