i have never lubed any part of my ggts or ody and never had a problem unscrewing it,i never over tighten anything,if i did have bother i would use a damp cloth to hold the parts.

I'm used to making coils on my gtank. So compact is easy.
Since making the coil right. I am getting that nicotine buzz again!

It wont build up if you keep your gg products clean. Dirty threads equal less hit then clean threads. Whatever you use be quick about it. Ss threads welded together equals disaster

1. Threads on top cap are not damaged. Sometimes threads are rough in some items so screw-unscrew it some times with vaseline on them and they will be like they suppose to be. 2500 pieces are too much so sometimes not all parts are the same. But this issue is easy to be fixed
2. I already said what happened to center post of penelope. Same was happening to Ody but you didnt saw it because Ody came assembled and I did the work that you have to do with penelope.
3. Mouthpiece is not off center. Its exactly like Ody. But the fat o-ring prevents the mouthpiece to "roll" as Ody does. So you dont screw cap very hard or push a little the mouthpiece to come on center

Actually, I would never use vice grips on my Penelope. I did use them like that to adjust the temple part of the frames on my glasses, worked well. I have a pair of rubber-dipped cloth work gloves for things like Penelope.
Honestly im liking penelope more than odysseusthe size is perfect and works the same way plus im findingthe hit is more "harsh" on the penelope and in a very nice way

The mouth piece/juice control on both of my Penelope's are much harder to turn than my Ody. Anyone else experiencing the same? So much so that I have to use my shirt to get enough grip to adjust.
It's quite tight for me, I slide a carto condom on it for grip. I couldn't find anything for food safe lube around when I assembled it. I found some mineral oil that I'll try next time I refill.
I also am using a rubber band to turn it. Also when I went to close it all the way earlier it just kept turning and didnt stop. I assume the whole rebuildable was turning. I havent opened it yet as there is still some juice. I will get into this tomorrow.
I think I'll try removing the top cap and lube the top o ring with some juice
Edit: lubing top o ring helps but still stiff. Note to self: hold the mouth piece in place whe removing top cap, otherwise juice control fully opens flooding coil

imeo stated on this matter not to tighten the top cap so much, just get the oring to seal, and maybe a little extra torque, but dont tighten the top all the way down. this will keep the oring from expanding and making the mouth piece difficult to turn.
So using Penelope for two days now and I must say she's my second love only to my wife!
Love my ody but the size of penelope on my provari mini is perfect....if only I had a nice 14500 small mod to use her on...oh wait I will!
If proteus is half as good as pen (which im sure it will be awesome) it will be a match made in heaven!

Until Proteus comes out, the Provari gets the larger tanks, and I can put the KGO bats back into use, besides being just a backup in my lunchbox. I also have a stainless Twist coming from a co-op for a slimline vv option. But you can bet I'll be all over Proteus when it comes out!
KGO + ego thread tank adapter + Penelope
No complaints here I do notice that the Penny does have different wicking issues than the ODy but if I let it chill a second between puffs the wicking is not ac issue this thing rocks!
