Ask Bruce about supplies icig. I send him some stuff
I am so glad you like Ody and Penelope! :toast:
Got my pen and ody all set up, of course, I am loving it!

Although, I am now super stressed over new wick and new pre made wires!

When and where can I stock up on them? Thank in advance

I hate to be that guy, but...I received my Penelope today and it is beautiful, but I am having a few issues with it. First, the lower connection nut does not screw flush with the bottom of the center post making it impossible to close the wire in it. Second, I built the coil and did everything exactly the same as the Ody, but when I tried to screw everything into the base, it won't go down far enough to be flush with 510 connector. It just stops.
I washed everything very well, I lubricated everything, I re-cleaned all of the threads. As I said, I did everything as I would my Ody.
The lower connection nut seems like a possible manufacturing flaw.
Any help would be appreciated.

you do not need to close the wire in it just enough for the wire to touch the metal side that creates the contact the nut does not it just holds the wick in place and make sure the wire is touching the metal ceramic housing not the nut, hope this helps..

MINE IS A VAPING MACHINE

ALSO! Do two wraps around the lower nuts then tighten the couple wraps create less space therefor you can tighten it more between the nuts

It is a 1/8 inch gap. I have wrapped it 3-4 times around the center post, but since it doesn't even come remotely close to holding it in place the only thing that keeps it from popping off is the nut around the ceramic housing. I watched the video by Imeo and Navy Lifeguard and in both the nut makes contact similar to the Ody.

Oh Dear......

Hope ya didn't cross thread it. It's easy to do....

3-4 wraps is way too many - will leak for sure. Only 1 wrap should do it. Don't overlap the wire, it makes for an air space that will definitely cause leaking.

As SuperVape states in the following post..... post a a few pics of your issue and we'll get ya up n running dude.... no fear... no sweat.

Uppppp time to go eat..... TT4 Now

Peace-

I appreciate all of the advice. I have broken everything down and rebuilt it several times. I definitely didn't cross thread, but I do appreciate the concern. I think the problem with the nut may be what is preventing the housing from screwing all the way down on the base.

Don't get me wrong, I got it up and running. Vaping at 7.4V and it is amazing. Just wanted to address some possible issues.

The only reason that I even brought any of this up is because I have watched all of the videos out there for the Penelope and the nut just seems to be off a little bit.

Thanks for all of the help ya'll.

In Germany we've had quite a few of the nuts not threading all the way on the center pole. The threads in the nut are not cleanly cut. You can fix them with a bit of force and a good grip on the nut. Screw it back and forth, back and forth, until the nut reaches the end of the post. Then turn the nut around and do the same from the other side.
You only need to do that once. Once the threads are clean it will go on and off without a problem.
Cross threading that nut is virtually impossible, btw, it has a much steeper threading then the rest.
