ok... So i'm the one that sent the nasty e-mail. I have since apologized but at the time i received the package i was stunned.
I'm fairly new to this e-cig community and was looking forward to my new 801. I liked the look and style of the product (it's like the one from david) but didn't want to wait weeks to get it.i saw a review from dusty about it and went to the website. Although the site was a little vague the price was good for the picture i saw of the unit.there was no mention of cheaper packaging to save cost so i was looking for a boxed set.when i received my unit in a zip-lock baggie in a small bubble mailer i was shocked and yes disappointed. I wasn't sure if this unit was, new, used, or maybe a second. So i sent him an e-mail telling him how much i disliked the way it was sent.
Now some of you have said it's silly to get upset about it and maybe you're right, but when you are looking for a new product, a ziplock and mailer isn't very impressive. I can see this if it was a replacemt atomizer or battery, but not a whole brand new unit. And on top of it all one of the batteries is defective. So yes i was ...... and yes i wrote a nasty letter, but under the circumstances what would you have done????

yes! I totally agree!

OK, Now Lets Not Talk Like A Single Consumer/ Bargain Hunter Purchase.

Clearly its a Retail Website With Items For Sale To The Public, No where do I see that the products are used or shipped in bulk package, as a consumer I am expecting a brand new retail package shopping at this site.

Note: Not Everyone is a bargain hunter, has made many purchases on line, and e-cigs is a Newer Product on The Market.

Lets Run These Scenarios Shopping at These Retail Website.

What If I Purchased it For A Gift or Presents?

What If I Am Buying Them To Resell Them?

There Is No Mention In The Store Web Site Page Ad That This Is A Non-Retail Product.

Types of Common Packaging for Small items:

A Retail Product Would Have Marked Packaging (Retail & Branded for Display, Blister, Box, Other type But Retail Pack).

There Is Whats Called a White / Tan Color Blank Box (no labels, no marks)

Then There is Bulk, Bulk Packaging Means Sealed (by heat) Plastic / Poly Bag with Name & Sku on it.

Keep Vapin!

Hehehe I've done so much worse for less dude. I would have freaked out and sent that right back. However, many sellers on this board are highly customer satisfaction oriented people and figure out a way to make their customers happy. Goooooose frabbaaaaaah

I understand. I may have complained too.

The complaint is defintely understandable.
Whether the seller really understood that it was a question of 'new' and 'presentation' rather than simple packaging of items for sale, is a totally different matter.

Personsally I would like to consider packaging that means no damage to goods. Ziplock doesn't really cover that.
One thing is for sure, you can spend all your profits on consumer happiness and presentation.
Myself its not so much presentation but not accidents please.

Thanks to all that understand where I was coming from. I'm one of those rare people that use sturdy packaging for storage. I travel for work and reuse boxes to safeguard items. My car looks like a supply truck by the time I'm done loading everything to take with me. Maybe it's no big deal to alot of people, but I was looking for a little more.

Don't order from Bestecigs, because my husband pick up my pacakge at post office today and he wanted to know what was in that terrible looking ziplock bag full of bubble wrap. He complained the postal worker had trouble getting the sign sheet out of the ziplock. I told him that was all right it only stayed in US costoms 24 hours or less.

Yes, LOL... Beci basically takes the item, then baggies, bubble-wraps. Wraps again, and again, and again. What you get is this: a big ball of bubble wrap, with your stuff inside. Now compare this to -- the same basic piece of crap, but put into a fancy little box. And it has a fancy logo. And it seems better, because, instead of a baggie, it has been placed into a "box."

Same piece of junk, basically. Except, one cost you like 20% of what the other did... You paid 5x more for that box... and logo... and peace of mind... that the thing you bought... was not put in a baggie, but instead, was placed into a box... right?

If you charge anything more than Beci does, then don't use a baggie and three layers of bubble wrap. If you charge a "fancy box" price, then put your wares into a fancy box...

What??? True, Beci might not have the most elaborate packaging around but if you read around here, many have been satifsfied with his prices, products, customer service and delivery times. I haven't had a bad product from him since the very first device I bought. That means a lot more to me than what he wraps it in.

I'm with you Lu, I have not had any damaged products from Beci and all of his "kits" come in a presentation box with a magnetized lid and hard backed foam insert, very nice. Other "spare parts" may not be boxed but they are so well wrapped that there is no chance of damage. Nobody complains about other suppliers sending spare parts in bubble wrap, a lot of them do it, even the ones with the best of reputations.

I agree that I would rather something work rather than be in a fancy package BUT I do believe it makes a difference.

However if the packaging is VERY nice, it may increase your expectations of the actual product, which could end up being a disappointment. This actualy happened to me recently with my first order of Johnson's Creek smoke juice. The packaging was beautiful, so I was SOO excited to try it, but the actual product was such a let down. I don't know if the packaging made me expect too much or if it was just not good.

I just noticed that Kevin's site (ecigmall) is closed due to supply problems. I have faith that he will get this straightened out and be back in business soon as I am waiting on some replacement switches. He was very prompt in answering e-mails and promised to replace them without any problems.

vince.cadc, did you ever receive your replacement switches? I placed an order for an 801 atomizer back on Feb 27th and have not received it. I have not received even one email thanking me for my purchase, nor to inform me of any product shortages. Yet my paypal account was charged the second I hit "send payment". As the site is currently up and no visible warnings about stock shortages, I am starting to get a bit peaved.

I did email him, so if I hear back, I'll update my post.
