tobacco will continue to be grown and sold worldwide. As long as there is tobacco available to us in some form those who still want nicotine will have the ability to create there own liquids. Those who don't want nicotine - well you already can produce cheap liquid. I see no need to stockpile liquids.

If you google Sweet Dreams cigarettes (or flavored cigarettes), you'll find that candy flavored cigarettes are available (Marlboro still makes them). I'd post the URL, but my predisposition to lurking means that I can't.

Someone tell me this: If a Phillip Morris representative walked into the FDA, with a cigarette with ONLY the same chemicals as an ecig, in the quantities found in an ecig, with no second hand smoke, would the FDA not rejoice? And how precisely is the nicotine in an analog cigarette measured? I never bought cigs by the mg, so I'm not sure how it compares...I have a sneaking suspicion that it doesn't.

You are correct; flavored cigarettes are still available today. Unfortunately, they are quickly going the way of the dodo bird. Flavored cigarettes, including cloves, are banned by the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act which was signed into law on 6/22/09. The ban does not include menthol cigarettes. I think it goes into effect in September, but I can't remember exactly when.

It doesn't really matter when anyway because most US suppliers will be out of Djarum Blacks in the next few weeks. Blacks are the only thing I personally care about. I smoke a half a pack a day. Djarum developed a new version of the Blacks using cigar tobacco, but it's just not the same. Good, but not the same. I decided I'd just look into vaping.

Its not the puritans that don't want us to have fun... Its the intellectual elitists that believe its their duty to protect us from ourselves...

It's both. And while you're right on, with that last statement, the thing that really p.o.'s both types is the individualistic aspect of smoking/vaping. Both hold conformity and collectivist values over individualism.

And now the decriminalization begins...........talk about the first step to the end of the world: Daily Herald | Cook County decriminalizes small amounts of marijuana

A short excerpt:

Possession of small amounts of marijuana in unincorporated Cook County could be penalized like a traffic ticket rather than prosecuted criminally, under a measure approved by the county board Tuesday.

This is true for all of New York State since 2005. Anything up to and including an ounce of marijuana (who's carrying that much around with them?) is subject to a fine of about $100 akin to a traffic ticket. No criminal charges or record.

Which brings me to another point. Anyone can order marijuana seeds from overseas. No problems with customs and there are definitely dogs already trained to sniff for marijuana. I don't think import of small supply is going to be too big of an issue. As long as it's only the sale, and not use and/or possession that becomes illegal in the US, I think we'll be ok.

Anyone see a parallel, or am I crazy?

First post, although I've been lurking for quite some time...

If they're playing to the stupid, why not use their own weapons? Media. Contact reporters and give the other side of the story in a nonvolatile, concise, and rational manner. The media loves a good conflict. While logic isn't the public strong suit, it doesn't help when the only voice our co-workers, neighbors, and friends hear is the self-important boom of a government agency. Given the economic and political tone of the country right now, many are pre-disposed to believe the little guy. And even the most avid anti-smokers would prefer e-cigs to analogs.

The media angle can be difficult. I work for the media, and we were doing a story on this and I approached the reporter about the ban and encouraged the reporter to look at this site. I was blown off due to the FDA report and was not listened to about the holes in the report. I was ticked....

Last week I got my shipment from China and it didn't go threw customs. I felt save ordering again this week however I just checked the tracking on my shipment and noticed it was handed over to customs. Should I be worried they are going to confiscate it or is this incident just a spot check.

Peacefully--They all go though Customs--sometimes the scans just do not pick up and show you that it went though Customs, but it did---this second order of yours is just doing the same as your last one, only this time the scan worked to post that it is in customs. They all go though customs---the tracking scans are just not reliable.

The FDA are trying to say that vaping could be extremely dangerous for young people who do not know their limitations.

What i have noticed in the past week of vaping for the first time ever, is that I vape much more than i used to smoke. Smoking analogs doe not make me high...this does.
Don't get me wrong. I love this.
But the fact is that i noticed that since i started vaping my behavior has changed noticeably.
I am not going to lie to myself about this.

Exactly what Juice are you vaping that gets you high?? Seriously, I don't get the Nic buzz from any Juice or mg Nic, not like a analog nic buzz. I am satisfied as far as cravings though.
