Parky's Tekkeon mod...

Along the same lines as Nuck's Fist Pack, but a different animal altogether.
I really want to try making a Fist Pack, just honing my skills here.

I just finished my newest mod using the Tekkeon MP1800. It utilizes 2 18650's for a whopping 4,000 mAh !!! However... I did not use the USB Output power on my mod, I tapped into the circuit board @ 5v and wired my atty connector from there with a separate micro switch on the back for the fire button. The Tekkeon MP1800 had a LED flashlight on the bottom that was just enough space to get the 510 battery connector to fit nice and flush. I left the USB charging portion in tact so yes, it does have a built in charger that will perform double duty as a "pass through" when charging at your desk. It vapes like any proud true 5v should !!!

Here's some "Eye Candy" ;)

Thanks for all the comments !!!

I really wish I would have taken pics prior to the modding. I wound up using some CA on the end caps to keep it closed good and tight. I will take some pics if I ever need to open it up or make another. As far as space goes... VERY limited with the 2 - 18650's in there !!! I had just enough room to remove the LED flashlight and get the battery connector in there. The slide switch on the front is to activate the USB power output for MP3 Player, Phone, DS... or whatever device you need extra power for. I left that part functional as well, the unit comes with extra adapters that will almost fit anything out there. The switch was also used for the flashlight which is now gone. The switch did not seem "beefy" enough to tap on to for the 510 connector so I went with the mini switch on the back.

Hope that answers some of the questions.

I started mine today, wasn't to difficult to get apart with all your help. There are 2 screws to remove from the front, then I did the top tabs as instructed and then gently pry apart. It has some soft rubbery glue at all four corners.
I took one batty out because I want a juice bottle in there but now I'm not sure where to go, it doesn't appear to be working with just one batty.
Any help would be appreciated...Not too good at the electrical part!

Sorry... I forgot to post "Follow up Pics" here on this one...

I found out that the voltage to the atty connector is
actually averaging around 3.85. I tried everything to correct it,
but I think the MOFSET circuit is kicking in and regulating down to
3.85v. I have just decided to use on of Drew's (nhaler.com) Low Ohm
Atty's and she is working just SUPER !!!

Please see http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modders-forum/86319-parkys-tekkeon-mod-v2.html for the True 5 volt Parky Tekkeon V2 Mod.

Anyway, for those who requested pic's, here's the inside of the V1...

Parky- So, I have completed mine with the use of only one of the 18650's, worked great for 3 days and I'm suspecting that it hasn't been charging. You mentioned closing the loop on the missing battery, can you suggest how to do that? I even figured out how to get a bottle in there! I'll post pics if I can figure the charge thing out, not much good without that! LOL
