ASH recently put out a press release stating that they had warned PayPal that they could be held criminally liable for processing payments for E Cigarette retailers in an attempt to shut down online retailers from selling their goods online, but the public reaction may not be what ASH expected and may have just solidified the resolve of e cigarette supporters to keep them on the market.

Due to the pressure by these special interest groups, PayPal has now not only frozen the money in the accounts of these retailers, but made sure no other transactions can be completed by the retailers that use PayPal as their merchant system, putting many online retailers in a financial crunch.

The backlash has begun as message boards, and forums have lit up with angry members and postings concerning the act's of ASH and PayPals decision to cave to pressures from the special interest groups. On several online forums, dozens of users have stated that they are canceling their PayPal accounts and vow to never use them again as a payment processor online.

Me thinks ASH is crawling the web looking for sites that sell e-cig wares and accept PP as payment and then relaying that information to PP. And of course, this forum is just prime pickings for ASH to compile a list...

Better get alternative payment methods folks! Come to think of it, ASH could threaten any payment processor with legal action...

The rest of the article seems to be an advertisement:

please go to my blogspot ELECTRONIC CIGARETTES. I spent 3 months gathering info to help Current Tobacco Smokers

If you spent 3 months gathering the info, chances are you would have participated in more discussions in this forum, got your post count beyond 15 to post a URL, then you could have started a new thread to post this information into.

Instead, we have numerous posts in this thread that could have been condensed into one or two, and many of them are offtopic, including mine.

Mods, can we do something about this, maybe? And delete my post when you're done.

For God's sake, why does someone else's post count bother you? Please explain how this is possibly a problem.

Did you even bother to read the posts? The person admitted to entering single line posts to boost their post count specifically to link to their blog, and a majority of those posts were offtopic.

It's not the post count that bothers me. It's what they did to boost it that bothers me, and their real reason for doing it.

Paypal limited my account. Made me fill out affadavit and remove paypal from my site.

I tried to withdrawal my funds before the account was limited.

Now I got a new letter today saying that my account will be closed and my funds frozen for 180 days. I have over 4k in that account. When I called and asked they literally said "people in backrooms make those decisions and they don't talk to customers".... My only option is to email them and wait for most likely an automated response.

Any one else out there got shot down please pm me. The more we have against paypal the stronger position we hold.

I ordered today from a supplier on here and it went through Paypal okay. Anyone who wants more details PM me. I don't want to call attention to someone if Paypal is leaving them alone.

Oh, and I didn't know this was a spam article when I said we should post it to Digg. I'm a NOOB. But I liked the article when I read it. I don't remember now what it said.
