Guys, generally how long does a setup on the Penelope run for you?

Here is my experience: I make a coil around 1.8-2.2 ohms. It is fantastic! After 2-3 daYs the resistance starts to increase an suddenly it goes as high as 4 ohms and above. I try to play with the coil then but basically nothing helps. So in general one coil last for me for 2-4 days.
Is this normal?

I've got a 1.2 ohm that's 5 days and still vaping nicely. You can also rinse your coil under hot water, soak up excess moisture on the wick with a paper towel, then dry burn until the coil turns red and all the moisture is gone. It'll restore your coil to near new.

It also seems like double and triple wicks funk up the coil quicker than a single wick coil.

triple wick doesnt do that it has to do with the residue of the juice and heat. when replacing juice I tend to wash out the coil and wick on the base and then I do a wet burn till wick is all white. then i wash it out in hot water to get all that burn build up off then i dry it out air dry or use a hair blower. The wick is white again and coil is clean.

3 wicks only helps the wick stay saturated with juice if your using thick juices at very very high voltages. that way you get a wet moist vape and not a dry hit.

Once you have to work with it for me it does not matter if it is a cleaning or a rebuild.
My point is that if you by the cheapest Chinese atty it will last at least for 2 weeks. In case of the Penelope it is 3-4 days in best case.
For example yesterday evening I made a new coil. Now I can taste the difference and see less vapor. I know tomorrow I will have to change it. It is just not right I think.

Well there are many varying factors that contribute to coil longevity but I personally haven't seen a difference in the Penelope's silica coils and the CE2 type silica clearos I used to use. I had to clean the clearos about every 5 days or so.
I believe I read a post of Imeo's on how he restores his coil and if I'm not mistaken, when it gets gunked up and resistance increases, he will vape the coil at 6 volts for about an hour, then return to his normal voltage.

I'm on 2 weeks with my Penelope. A double 3mm wick and the included pre-made wire 1.6 ohm at 4v. I'm using a clear menthol juice. Crazy flavor and vapor, same as day one. On my Ody running Boba's I only 2-3 days before it starts tasting funny. All the solids in it seem to gunk up wick and coil. Extracted tobacco juices tend to do the same. I think it's more about dissolved solids rather than PG/VG ratios.

So I made a new coil. Three wicks, wire loose. I had hard time to have the wicks together as I did not want to make the coil tight. I also spin the ground wire around the wick going down into the tunnel. I managed to get 3ohms vaping at 5 volts. So far it is great the question is how long it will last.
