I think with your drip tip it may vary,(as you will not use the Pene AC)
But if you use AC of CT open and use the atty AC,I think it should be the same,

It depends on the mod River. Some mods have very tight inhale because they dont have the right channels for air
Thats true Yankee. Penelope's air control doesnt allow full air to come to mouth. For full air, you put a drip tip on Penelope or you full unscrew the air control and put it in the highest position. And if you do one of those, then yes, its more airy than Penelope V1 or Ithaka
So the mouthpiece restricts the extra 0.5mm even in all open positionwell you have to retry your tests without any coils. Off you go...
I stand by my findings even open and no wick. Ithaka has a slight edge. And if you look down the center, the new penny has a bell/beck style cone inside. This cone does two things (maybe both on purpose).
1. Channels the vapor
2. Acts as the female thread for the adjustable tip.
I didn't notice a difference enough to write about bud.
Ok. Then I'm feeling it correctly. I will assume that the bell inside is a major reason. But even full open on adjustable, it's still not as airy as removing that and using a deepest drip tip.
thats true too yankee, because drip tips have a 5mm hole when Penelope's air control has 2 holes of 2mm each. But this difference is minimal
It tasted pretty horrid to begin with.

I will try it, once I look at a few "how to" videos, and get through this 2nd tank full. Don't want to risk cracking it though.

I have reduced the bore of a 510 drip tip and it is much better.
I will be blocking the bore of some of my drip tips and drilling out to different sizes, to find what suits me best.
I prefer an acrylic tip if poss. But I haven't given up on the Penny drip tip either.
After the impatience of getting it set up and vaping for the first time, I can now take my time in experimenting

Here is my take on the Pene2:
Everyone knows that I don't like metal drip tips...BUT...wait for it....I don't mind the pene2 drip tip...there...I said it.
1st: I had to change the oring installed on the driptip for the bigger one so that it was firmly put in there (didn't work right with the smaller oring that was installed)
2nd: back to the nice and basic coil build. Yes, I believe that less parts sometimes are better. I had that coil set up with ZERO issues in minutes...I did lube the post oring with juice or VG so it would not tinker with my coil wire.
3rd: Imeo, I have to give you props...you really can adjust the amt of air from 0 to 100 with fine tuning. Between the a/c drip tip and the a/c post and the a/c on the mod...the possibilities really are endless.
My advice, take your time and fiddle with the settings and find out where your sweet spot is...for me, I like the tighter draw so I have the post turned opposite of the air channels and I put the drip tip and the a/c on the mod in control and I tweak from there.
If you are looking for maximum openness in airflow, open your a/c ring on your mod, open the post, and take the driptip off and use one with a wide open driptip hole.
this was a big test in my book because my juice which is DIY cheesecake is very tricky to get a good flavor from. So for this flavor, it's all about tweaking it to taste the best it can. Surprisingly it held up pretty well in the Pene2.

And after further testing we did, I stand corrected. There are many combinations of air control. The brass pin on the 510 plays a factor on allowing the AC ring to aid in air flow.
It sometimes take a good woman to run through all configurations.
So apparently not everybody agrees on this ahahahahah.
No prob, probably I will torch it anyway, I did many times with Penny V1 ceramic and with Ithaka's without damaging them, it's just a matter of heating gently and working carefully.
Pay attention, Linedanger, if you want to torch it; hold it firmly without applying to much pressure on it while heating and don't let it slip - it could break. Some videos show to hold the ceramic with a resistance wire passing through it; this you can do, but pay attention to the flame intensity, I had some wires break with my burner, so I actually prefer holding it with small pliers. When you are done rest the hot ceramic (do not touch it by any means, it burns) on a plate or similar and allow it to reach room temperature, it will take a couple of minutes. And that's it.
I'm really curious about the new air control sistem, hope I have it for playing around tomorrow evening.
Straighten a paper clip and hold to cool some. Not to a stone plate to cool. Paper clip is more stable.
I have one on it's way from Korea ~ shipped today . The Chi Sleek is 16mm and Penelope is 17mm ~ so not exactly the perfect fit. Depends how particular you are with the 1mm overlap and how it looks overall. If my Penelope ever gets here I will find out. In general attys look best when they are same or smaller than the mod.
The Chi Sleek however should look very clean paired up with a GP Spheroid which is the same 16mm.

Paper clip is a good idea, you have a point there. I like small pliers since i can rotate the ceramics and torch it uniformly, but my burner is small, so I could just leave the ceramic stationary and rotate around it with the flame.
