People Look Strange

vaping is new alternative to smoking. But many people in my neighborhood don't take it as a norm. While I vape in public, people look at me strange. Couple of times I've been called a (Other) smoker, probably its because of the glass tank I got from Phiniac. While I vape and drive, I can see other drivers around me looking at me strange through their car window or their mirror, trying to see what I am 'smoking.' When I vape in my car, I blow out a big cloud of smoke. I assume that is how I attract attention from other drivers to see me what I am smoking. If thats the case, I get anxious wondering if a police office might pull me over to see what I'm smoking.

I'm a new member to this forum. I've been vaping for 6 months. I've been visiting this forum to look for vaping advice for about a month; this is my first post. I would like to thank all of you for guiding me to better vaping experience. My next mission is to cut the cost of vaping; spend less on vaping expenses than when I use to buy cigarettes. So far, as I calculated all my vaping expense for 6 months, I've spent about 80% more than buying cigarettes. My curiosity on purchasing different kind of juice was like a fanatic shopper during black friday. I've narrow it down to 3 juice.

Welcome Rannar - I wonder if people are looking at me when I drive and vape also .... I sort of hold my APV so they can obviously see it's something "mechanical looking" and hope that suffices. LOL

You can't blame people for staring, especially if what you're using is that different and interesting to look at. Hell, I would stare too. Of course, I know what it is. So, I would be staring and trying to show you mine too! But, I rarely carry anything more bizarre looking than an EMDCC on a 1000 mah Ego battery just because I'm afraid of being stopped by the police.

But, I'm a timid, shy soul. That's just my style.

Welcome to ECF! I used to feel self-concious about vaping in the car because of what people might think when they see me. But I don't worry about it any more. I'm not doing anything illegal, so even if a cop pulled me over, so what? It'd just give me the opportunity to explain ecigs to them. < I don't worry about cops too much since I'm married to a retired one >
So far I've not seen any strange looks from anyone, I don't think people pay too much attention around these parts! lol! And I've yet to see anyone else around here vaping in their car

Welcome to ECF. Don't worry about law enforcement. If you get pulled over, a brief explanation/demonstration is usually sufficient to get you back on your way. As to the stares from strangers, ignore 'em. People stare at things they don't understand or are unfamiliar with. After years of stares at my Mohawk, nothing fazes me any more.

I have also been spending more $$ on my healthier habit and am aware of people staring and wondering ....but as I become more comfortable with it I'm sure I won't notice as much LOL The cig store where I've been shopping for my Nat Sherman Hint's have been specially ordering them for me and they have very much noticed that I'm not buying as often (yes, I still have some analog backups because I'm afraid my batteries will fail or I'll have a 4 day power outage like last October...then how will I power up my current supply of ecigs ?

I thought of this myself and realized that I already had the solution. I run my computer off a UPS battery backup, my new computer required a larger unit so I bought a 750VA backup, my old 450VA unit still stays charged for charging cellphones and whatnot in the event of a power outage. In a pinch I'm sure I can get at least a couple recharges out of it as well

I'll just show the public how much they're missing out, that is, if they are smokers. When I see people smoking cigarettes it just disgust me (I smoked one few weeks ago and I couldn't finish the whole cigarettes). I don't think I'll be going back to smoking cigarettes. It stinks, it makes you litter, and where I live, it's a risk of causing mountain fire.

trust me. im in korea right now and i swear to you, long time ago when i smoked analog cig walking around here...
this old korean guy hit me on the back of my head cuz im a female smoking while walking around. lol
now imagine how those ppz will think of me now that i walk around with PV vaping lol

Culture in Korea must be harsh I know in Japan there are no smoking zone. If you are smoking in the no smoking zone, you'll get few guys wearing orange coming up to you, surround you, and give you ticket. Getting hit on the head is ,...kinda rude I hope you get a pat on the back for vaping

Nicotine doesn't make you less healthy. Nicotine is the least of your worries considering what else is in a cigarette or cigar.
