i found that taste when i used it on lava tube but when i put it on one of my provaris went away did not make any sence but thats what i discovered so no pen takin out of the house cause my provaris dont leave the house

So you're probably out of the house at least 9 to 10 hrs out of the day, without your best vape? I suppose I would understand this if you were very rough on your equipment but man are you missing out.
Whether its my mini Provari or my GG Stealth, one of them is always in my pocket when I'm out of the house. And I even bring my TS in 18490 mode for when Im at my desk or in the car.
I figure if I'm gonna have it, I'm gonna use it.

now for that ggts to arrive since i need air control!! the draw on the ody is on the tight side unlike the pene that just flows like butter.... need more vapoor!!!!!!

would you guys say that 3-4 turns on the liquid control is normal for around 11w ( 5v @2.3ohm) on a single wick?

so..... i've been spreading the coil a little too much and a tiny bit of it was going down the channels or to the sides, which resulted in directing heat where i didnt really want it, which would also explain the tight draw (not enough vapor)... which would also explain not getting the burnt taste since not all the heat i've been pumping thru the coil ended up in useful vapor.

what i did today was i stuck one of those fat syringe needles thru the wick (trying to mimick the paper clip method) then made the coil, which provided a very very moist wick while burning, but it also gave consistent hotspots even tho the coil was touching the wick everywhere.

i'm still failing right now and i'm overly ...... haha. i'm changing everything tomorrow, going back to nichrome instead of kanthal and trying out the 1.5mm wick i have leftover from my bulli days.

just where i was out of options i did the syringe needle method above with the only difference i didnt burn the coil nor wick with the lighter...... hey presto 2 good coils in a row vaping at 6v from the get go

this doesnt make any sense whatsoever...

what does make sense is that the draw is not tight anymore since theres a lot more vapor production going on.

i'll hold my breath until i get to no10 good coil tho...

i'm to a point where i'm feeding 15w to a single coil single wick with no burnt taste.

I just ordered a practically brand new penelope on the classies and I absolutely cannot *wait* to get my hands on it, I paid a bit more than the list price on cov but I still dont feel bad about payin 160, I have a feeling it will be well worth it. Where are good places to get wire and wick from? Have you ever tried bamboo yarn as wick?

ebay is a good source for wire if COV doesn't have what you need. Haven't tried bamboo yarn but candle wick works great.
