Yeah, hair color is one of the things I will try in one of my next dye jobs. Only used the Rit fabric dye because I happened to have it.

I noticed in the picture how black she managed to get the pieces, rather than a dark gray. I just hope the smell of hair dye doesn't stick, cuz that stinks too.

I don't have much experience with hair dye so I have no idea what it smells like. lol

Rit has no smell to me, except like I said for some reason it makes silicone smell like rubber, you know, like a tire.

Every now and then my wife used to dye her hair. The stuff she used stunk up the whole house. It had a very foul stench to it. She even roped me into helping her a couple times.

Sucks to hear. I may not use it now, or I might buy a cheap bottle and try it on an old sleeve and see how hard it is to remove the stench. Not sure.

Just an FYI. A cold dye job with Rit (for fabric) isn't the way to go. It wears away rather quickly. I can easily see the color fading on the fire button and around the back of the mod where my fingers wrap around the mod.

So I'm going to try using heat the next time but I don't think I'm going to even bother with the Rit for fabric. Will probably try the Rit for synthetics as well as hair dye. But I don't know when.
