So I have some DAP silicon, which is supposedly water/aquarium/food safe when cured

I also have some quiksteel now, which is 'safe for drinking water'

I've also read that fully cured gorilla (was it glue or epoxy? I can't remember) is water safe when fully cured...but I don't have any so whatevs.

Now all this is reassuring, except we don't have water in our tanks/cartos, we have VG, PG, flavor, and nic

I'm thinking of these being used in a context where there is at least some direct contact with juice, e.g. a repairable atty, tank, etc.

Does anyone have any info whether these above sealants hold up to PG, VG and nic?

I would think the DAP silicone would be a good choice, since it is also heat resistant. PG, VG or nic should not break it down. In fact it is likely very similar to what is used for adhesive in attys and cartos now. There are several DAP Si products, but most silicones are very stable, even up to 500F. How easy it is to use, however, is another story, and would probably require, at least for me, some self-teaching time so I didn't make an irreversible mess. Which DAP is optimal, I do not know. I'm not an atty modder/builder, but others in this forum might know more.

An issue for me would be can it handle a dry burn? Glowing Ni-Cr wire is VERY hot, much hotter than normal vaping temps. If it can handle that without smoking or tasting nasty, it is probably the right choice. there are a bunch of different silicones, so check for high-heat resistance.
