Hey folks, so I see lots of VG vs PG inquiries posted on here so I figured I'd share my experience. I've been vaping exclusively PG up until today. I decided to get a bottle of menthol VG with my last order to kill the curiousity. Both juices in this comparison are menthol from evapers, and both are being vaped on an eGo with a LR 510 atty.

VG: The first thing I noticed about the VG is the viscosity, the liquid is much thicker than the PG (as to be expected). The vapour production is greater than the PG, and the feel of the vapour is much heavier and smoother. After exhaling, the vapour hangs in the air longer and appears to "fall" downwards. The vapour doesn't provide the throat hit of the PG, but I liked the smoothness to it. For those who have had shisha before, I'd compare it to that, whereas PG is more like a cigarette. Overall, I found it to be a pleasant experience. The flavour is not as pronounced as the PG counterpart, but is still there. I did not notice the "sweet" aftertaste many talk about. What I did like about the VG is the lack of the bitter aftertaste I occasionally get with PG.

PG: The flavour is more prominent in the PG without a doubt, especially when vaping back to back with VG. I have heard the PG simply carries flavour more effectively, and can agree with this statement. The vapour production is not as high as with VG, and the vapour is lighter and dissipates faster upon exhale. In comparison with the VG, the PG is a "dryer" vape and the mouth feel is different. I like the stronger throat hit of PG, especially when making the inhale from mouth to lungs. I just didn't get the same feeling from VG.

To conclude, I enjoy both liquids and plan to experiment with some mixing. The VG gave a full, heavy, smooth experience while the PG gives a stronger, dryer hit with more flavour. Happy vaping :vapor:

That's a really great summary, dg99. I find I prefer PG/VG blends, anywhere from the 80/20 to 70/30 range. Enough warmth/depth and vapor production from the VG with the intense flavor when using PG. I don't much care for 100% VG based juices. I find the flavor is very much lacking, they don't perform as well in a cartomizer, and they give me acid reflux.
