Oh and when you are playing with the sand blasting can you try a few experiments, I think that if you pre-etch the lizards you may be able too make the glass adhere a little more give you a little more control....I am just curious about the control aspect, I am just saying lizards cause I love looking at those tanks.....................

Karmachine, it is an interesting idea, but we are not planning on mixing the sand blasting with the blown pieces, at least not at this point. The plan at this point is to offer either blasted tanks or glass decorated tanks. And I am sure you will understand our reasoning. Currently many people feel the glass decorated tanks are over priced or understand they are not but still are unable to afford them. You having done glass work understand the costs involved and likely realize our mark up is not that big. Just the cost of running the oven at the required temp and time is huge as electricity where I live is sky high. Heck just heating my house in the winter time adds an extra $600 or so dollars to my electric bill.

So with all that being said we wanted to come up with a line of tanks that was more affordable to the masses. While we have no wiggle room with the glass decorated tanks, we can reduce the cost of a sand blasted tank a bit and allow people to purchase a decorated tank at a more reasonable price as the sand blasting process does not add as much to the cost of the tank as the glass decorated ones. However there are extra costs involved in the sand blasting, so a tank that has been blasted and glass decorated would defeat our purpose and increase the prices of the glass decorated tanks.

I hope this all made sense!

I have liquid in one jar and the other is in the kitchen with spices! When my daughter asked for one yesterday I asked her what she was going to do with and she said she does not know, they are just pretty!

That sounds exactly like something my daughter would have said when she was younger! This is the same girl who always had to stop and look at the flowers when we went into Wal Mart. She still does now that I think about it....

That reminds me of poor gimpy *bows head in moment of silence* they were right next to each other for a moment........

Gimpy lives on in spirit .. and I wouldn't be surprised if someday he reincarnates into a new & improved body. EoH speaks well of him, they were friends - if only briefly.

:)

Yup, it arrived late this afternoon. Unfortunately the school ski trip is tomorrow and this is the first year my son is old enough to go so we have 2 kids to get ready...

Once they are asleep we will likely play! If not it won't be until Friday that we get to try it out as we have an appointment with the machine shop tomorrow to get started on the the caps for the tinted tanks, so we will likely be in town all day!

Got my tank today!!! WOW....What a piece of ART!!! I can't wait to put it on my Saber Touch when it get's here. It's SOOOOOO much better than any other tank out there!! Now my question is this....it's the small one (I think you call it regular), when buying cartomizers for it, which one's do I need to look for? I know 510 but what size do I need? Thanks!!

Congrats, it really is a piece of art. Can't agree more with your statements. Since you got the standard sized tank. Then you should use the standard sized cartos. Such as: Boge LR or SR, fusions, smoktech cartos, and all others that aren't XL or XXL.

Wash and Sashwa are both right. The regular boge 510 will work but you can put anything in it the longer the carto the more that will stick out is all.

Which tank did you get? If you are so inclined we would love for you to leave a review on the website.

And now the bad news. The kids are all packed and ready for the yearly school ski trip, we had a wonderful dinner (the hubby made a roast) and then we decided to sit back on the couch for a few minutes before we tackle the sand blasting. And we just didn't get up! Yes, we got lazy, but it was a well deserved break. Tomorrow we take the long trip to town to run our errands and head to the machine shop, so best case is we do a little sand blasting tomorrow evening.

Sorry!
