I may need to try to contact the company directly to see if they still offer it.
**sigh** Looks like the company is kaput. Sent an email a week ago and have yet to receive a response.

I took the inside door panel off to see about changing the combo and it's solid concrete inside it...It's most likely the heft comes from concrete inside the walls and door of the safe. The old "class 5" safes were lined with concrete. Back in the day, this was a common practice to enhance the security of the safe and to provide some fire protection.

Hello! Is anyone there?
@classwife, could you just re-open the old thread instead of me starting a new one? Pretty please!

OMG, you brought it back to life!for what it’s worth i’m back
I did some deep digging this morning and came across this:I didn't have a 'spot' for an actual safe in the previous house. So, I settled for a Stack-On cabinet to be able to keep everything under lock and key. Last year when we moved to another house, I added the black cabinet to avoid the over crowded original green one. A safe would be nice to have as I now have 'room for one. But at this point in my life, I'll just stick with what I have.
Well how ‘bout that.I did some deep digging this morning and came across this:

Stack-On Products has been sold to Cannon Safe and MidOcean Partners - Lincoln International LLC
Lincoln International (“Lincoln”), a leading global mid-market investment bank, is pleased to announce that Stack-On Products (“Stack-On” or the “Company”) has been sold to Cannon Safe, Inc. (“Cannon Safe”) with… Read Morewww.lincolninternational.com
A search of Cannon's website does show a Stack-On link to their website. Soooooooo, I fired off another message to Stack-On requesting how to purchase a product directly from them as there's no local retailers carrying their products.
My 2nd one I got about a year ago on sale at a Tractor Supply near me.
Glad I gave a clue to help you out. My first one was a deep forest green ... I tried and tried to find that color again ... but no luck. So my 2nd one is black. I never run across the 'weird' green combo you linked to.Heh.. Digging will save me 10 bucks. Same setup, only in black and buying both separately. Thanks for the TSC tip. Forgot all about them and they are one of my favorite stores to spend money at.
Man that sucks. Took me awhile to see your post yet alone reply. Just got released from the hospital - a really nasty case of double pneumonia. Finally got a response from the company. Nope, they don't do direct sales, and they expect the customer to search for a company that will ship or find a local company willing to order. **sigh**
That really rubs me the wrong way. Yes, I really want to try the product and would love to find that double door cabinet like you have, but man....... From a customer service standpoint, that really made me step back and question whether they're in it for the long haul or not. Maybe I'll take a drive out to Mesquite next weekend and have a talk with their staff to see if they'd be willing to do a special order for me.
