PIF in RL

Hey all - I have been quiet for some time, as all recovering addicts, I have had some work to do; namely helping others addicted to Cigarettes around me stop. While I am compelling in my arguments, and apparently seeing is not believing ;-), I have taken my mission to the next level actually buying disposable 510's for people and giving them away. I give them the ecig with the understanding that they'll at least give an honest week to see if vaping is for them, and they in turn help someone else. I haven't posted any PIF's, since I have been giving away liquid that I don't vape on. I have been actively doing this for the last 2 months, and I'd like to think I've been pretty successful!

I have donated all my extra PV's, bought a couple dozen disposable 510's, and given away dozens of 5, 10 and 20ml liquids. I typically carry a disposable on me at all times, as well as a couple of 5mls, in the event someone strikes up a conversation with me. It's getting somewhat expensive to do, but I have approached a couple of favored vendors to see if they can help, and in all reality it's a burden I willingly carry. If only showed me that there was a different way.

I didn't start this thread to be preachy, but I was so touched with the PIF section when I first joined, that you all pretty much inspired me to do this. You all do so very well to embrace the spirit of Pay It Forward every day that I wanted to share my journey with all of you to encourage someone else out there to try my approach and see how it works for them.

You're thinking #'s right? I lost count of what I've given out, but I can say that I have created 3 permanent vapors in the last couple of months, and dozens of smokers contemplating to make the step that we all have! Thank you all for inspiring a difference!

I think PIF in rl is awesome. I've converted 2 full-time vapers and one part-time vaper. The part-time vaper is going to have to convert to full-time as she wants to crash at our house for the summer and we don't really need any temptations for our wants-to-backslide household member.
Our next door neighbor is curious and I plan on taking a 510 over next time I see her on the backporch smoking. She asked my roomie why we weren't on our porch anymore We LIVED on that porch. We used to joke that we didn't need a house, just the porch. We even took a freaking heater out there and had sub-zero rated sleeping bags to wrap up in. Man, we were pitiful. Now, we are inside happily vaping when it's nasty outside.

That is awesome! I'm not quite as prolific. I have given away a couple of batteries and some juice to my neighbor and a friend. It's purely selfish on my part. If they don't have analogs anymore, then I won't be tempted to bum them.

Good for you Mathew ! I've got one convert that's been vaping for two months now. I think the keys for him were that he knew he really wanted to quit smoking before he saw my PV's and was ready to really give vaping a good try, was willing to invest his money is giving vaping that good try, and he got to actually see several different PV's I own before he picked his Ego. He's trying really hard to convert his sister but so far she just continues to give him excuses for not giving it a trying. I have others that are interested and have tried some of my stuff but honestly, they are just not ready to give up smoking cigarettes. I don't push anyone, just make myself available if they have questions and want advise or want to try anything that I have.
