Katya....did you see that I already donated a pink kit to the fund as well as to Jennifer personally? A pink kit, a lanyard and a month supply of cartos while she is having her treatment.

I just don't want to overload the contest with entries for one person and thereby lesson the chances of everyone else. You know SmokeStik...I will take care of Jennifer. :) But yes...if you win...I'll donate your kit too. :)

that being said...get me some entries!!!! I'm really surprised this isn't getting more attention....this is a really nice prize...that's one of my best lanyards if nothing else. And I can't believe there are not lot's of people touched by this disease????

So what do you want for Christmas?...

You're the best, Lori.

BTW, your lanyard has been around my neck sisce the day I got it--no more looking for my reading glasses! Thanks again! :)

I just wanted to say that this is a wonderful thing you are doing LoriKay and thanks to you, Bill and Maria for the many things you do for charity and the community. It is not surprising at all that you would want to touch the life of someone suffering from breast cancer just as you have touched the lives of those serving our country and unwanted/abused animals. You are a truly remarkable woman LoriKay, with a very big heart.

My maternal Grandmother was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 35. She had a mastectomy and, since reconstruction was not an option at the time, has worn a prothesis since then. She is now less than 2 months away from her 91st birthday and has been cancer free for 55 years. My thoughts and prayers go out to all those men and women who are fighting breast cancer and I pray that their friends and loved ones will find the strength to give them the support and love that they need.

. . . "This is an entry" . . .

Dear "Squirrel Queen" - Ms. "Lorikay" . . .

First - I cannot add or improve on anything that has been already said about "You" and "SmokeStik", however I would like to say THANK YOU to "Fatima" and everyone else at "SmokeStick" for having this contest for BREAST Cancer Awareness. Personally, I have known a few people, including some friends & family members who had Cancer - some of them are women and a man who had "Breast Cancer." AND - While some people I know have died from Cancer - Thankfully, many were able to "Win" their battles with this disease.

SO, if you do not mind - if I am lucky enough to be chosen as a "winner" of this contest, to honor all those people who I have lost to Cancer . . . I would appreciate very much if the prize be sent to "My" Friend "lettucehead" . . . I would like her to share this kit with someone she knows in Hospice and keep this beautiful "Lanyard" for herself (Hey - She is one fantastic Woman who IMO deserves something as beautiful as she is to "Me" :D).

Again - THANKS ! ! !

Now if "WE" All can get more people to stop thinking and understand that touching their own Breast is not only a sexual thing . . . ;) BUT - Can Be "Life Saving" thing to do . . . :D

Just wanted to say that this is a very nice thing you guys are doing, and for a great cause. Our friend was diagnosed with breast cancer a couple years back and underwent treatment for a long time. Her husband at the time of her diagnosis couldn't handle the stress and left her during the beginning of her treatment. At that same time she met our other friend, who really felt for her situation and was great to her kids. He stayed by her side through the entire process, and they began to develop a relationship.

Well, long story short, the doctors were unable to save her tatas :( But they were able to reconstruct them and she is still just as confident in herself as she ever was. We went to there wedding just a couple months ago, they are happily married and raising her two boys! Oh and the wedding was awesome btw, and even though they are back from the honeymoon the still act like they're honeymooning :p

first, thanks lorikay13, and RIP to your friend.

I have a friend whose husband is a breast cancer survivor. now her mother is fighting it too. they all still smoke, although they sometimes vape with a few things I have given them. It would be great if i could get at least mom to drop smoking and just vape ! thanks so much and I know your contest will help someone - all the entries are deserving !

Unfortunately my mother-in-law lost part of her breast several years ago, and just recently there was mention of removing the other.
She stopped smoking years ago, but picked up again several months back. A few months ago I gave her a kit, but she returned it. I think she just didn't like the whole filling after every few puffs. I tried to explain to her that you can get cartos and never touch juice. But she is my mother-in-law. (you know how that can be) It is hard to talk to her sometimes.
I would really love to have one sent to her.
And the Neck Bling well that's a different story....gotta think about that for a sec....
I may keep that :D I have been trying to get one of Lori's Lanyards for a loooonnnnnngggggggg time. :lol
Thanks for the contest!!! and for all you contribute to this forum

this is an entry.

If I win it will go to my friend Judy, both of her sisters have battled breast cancer in a major way. We met in a quit smoking class, and I would really like her to start vaping, she wants to quit analogs quite badly! She lives in another state so I can't share my only vaping kit with her, but I'd love to win her one of her own.

I am so glad to see this contest pick up.....just so you know...for every 10 entries there will be a kit won. I also wanted to comment on this:

SO true. But there is two sides to this coin and the other side is testicular and prostate cancer. MEN LISTEN UP....you can check yourself for testicular cancer the exact same way women check for breast cancer. And ladies...CHECK YOUR MEN! Testicular cancer is one of those that specifically strikes YOUNG men.....usually in their late 20;s and 30's. It is very rare for a man over 40 to be diagnosed with testicular cancer. Prostate cancer is just the opposite....the older you get the higher the risk. GUYZ......it's a whole new world now! They can treat both these cancers successfully without you having to lose any function. And even if you lose a testical...they will give you a prothesis....no one will ever be able to tell.

Long story semi short, was reading the classified section here when I ran across tmcase posting for Jennifer Cook (phiniac tanks) Moorea breast cancer Help needed. I was so touched, breast cancer has been around me for a very long time, losing my grandmother in 2007. Anyway, 3 weeks ago, my mother in law went in with "another lump" they immediately did a biopsy (a monday) and wednesday had her entire breast removed. They have begged her to stop smoking (age 77) .... this kit would be her lifesaver to quitting the stinkies once and for all.
Anyway, I want to sincerely send well wishes to anyone who is battling, or has battled, offer my prayers and thoughts, and lastly, thank everyone who has been there for anyone else be it emotional or financial. (i am a huge sap) sorry and THANK YOU Lorikay for a very nice offering.

Thank you so much for having this and helping people talk about something that is hard to talk about. That is one of the little problems...it's hard to talk about. People need to talk about it. They need to know it is OK fine, Yes, Please talk about examining your breasts regularly!

I am so sorry about Fatima.

Thank you for these comments about Men checking for Prostate/Testicular Cancer - besides Breast Cancer . . .

I can tell You as a Counselor that worked at Planned Parenthood for a number of Years and teaching "Men's Sexual Health" (both to Heterosexual/Homosexual Men) . . . That there are as many men who refuse to check their lower regions, as there are Women refusing to check their breast, simply because they feel there is something sexual about doing so and being "Gay" if you do (if you are heterosexual) . . .

You wouldn't believe what we had to do to get "Men" (young and especially Older Men) to consider thinking about checking themselves regularly, especially since they refused to even discuss this with their doctors . . . (And even after all these years, I still shake "My" head in disbelieve sometimes ;)) . . . SO WRONG ! ! ! It's Your Life We Are Talking About . . .

(AND - for those that might question it - Yes, A GAY MAN Volunteered and Worked at Planned Parenthood for years . . . :D)
