Came back around in my rotation of various snus's. Granit mini... mmmm, tastes like tea at first. I have enjoyed trying different brands. Figuring what I'm gonna' want for next time. I do like the plain tobacco flavors like Ettan and Lab. I believe Toboca and Granit also fall in the plain category here.

What others fall in the plain category?

I'm not yet ready to order, a new job still alludes me, although I do have some temporary work lined up for September working on a film. $ from that may just catch me up. Hope I will have some to make an order. I will have to make it count as to what I want.

I'd like to help Kookie, but other than the ones you've mentioned I really can't say for sure in that 8mg range. If Stubby stumbles upon this I'm sure he can supply some wisdom. Skruf would probably be to your liking. I use the Skruf ES and I think it's one of the best 'baccy flavors in the world, but I can only assume Skruf Original has the same great taste.

Well, I asked about plain tobacco flavors, which I enjoy the most, and I thought that would be the least of the opinion of a flavor. What I mean is, I've come to find that asking what is a good flavor to you is like asking what color you like.

Hittman, your comment on the Nick & Johnny, again this is just my opinion, is not plain tobacco flavor. It is close though. It does have a hint of something, bergamot perhaps. Skruf as well, TV, has the bergamot taste but I will agree is not as strong as something like General. I really can't confirm that opinion of mine since all of my Original Skruf is gone except the cranberry flavored Skruf. That does tell me I did like the Original Skruf though, lol.

Regardless, there isn't one of this list I didn't like. Well, there were times I didn't like it, or my favorite would turn bitter on me, but I would simply switch to another and come back to it another day and I would love it.

General Sterk White Portion
01 Original Lab Series Portion
Ettan Portion
Ettan White Portion
Taboca Strong Mini
Granit Maxi Portion
Granit Mini Portion
Nick and Johnny Strong Portion
Skruf Original Portion
Mocca Anis Mini Portion
Phantom Classic White Portion
General Mini White Portion
General Mini Portion
Goteborgs Rape' White Portion
Goteborgs Rape' No2 White Portion
Fellinni Licorice White Mini Portion
Thunder Frosted Strong MINI Portion
Thunder Strong Mini portion
Mocca Pomegranate Mini
Thunder Berry Extra Strong Portion
Skruf Cranberry Portion Snus

Plus all the General I can get at my local cigar shop. (That list is kind of in order of preference of flavor.)

That is everything on my first order as of the end of June. I am starting to run out of my favorites on this list. I should have rotated more evenly. I started with a kind of diary too, but I lost that file when my hard drive failed.

I think with what I have left of my stock, it will last me a month if not two months. I will tell you, this is the cheapest way to get my WTA fix! Even with the higher shipping costs.

I can't wait for my next order. My favorites will be on there including variations of that. I want Lab 02 for sure. Also I want to try the loose. I think I will go with Ettan on that. Maybe an extra stark loose too. I will have to get a prismaster, although it seems it may be not needed, its less than 2 bux.

So, I guess this is just another opinion, but Ettan is the straightest tobacco flavor. I appreciate your inputs. Thanks guys!

Oh, TV, Skruf ES will be on my next order list. W00t!

I really enjoy the Camel Snus that can be found at a lot of gas stations, truck stops, Speedways, Tobacco stores, etc. I don't find the price to be too outrageous. I use the Camel Frost as I was a menthol smoker.

CathyfromOhio, for sure to each their own, but I can't stand the sweetness of american snus. I suppose I was referring to Swedish snus. Although, there are american brands sold in europe like Lucky Strike, which I loved to smoke in my youth, and Paul Mall and such, but I believe they are unavailable to be shipped to the states. That's a whole other topic though.

Lots of straight tobacco flavors that you're missing

Grovsnus
Tre Ankare (The forgotten snus that is very good)
Odens classic original
Prima Flint (Loose only but one of the best)
Roda Lacket (slight raisin/date type flavor in the background but mostly tobacco)
Thunder original mini

:p

Ah! Thank you Stubby. That is what I was lookin' for, for sure. Roda Lacket sounds delicious too. ALL those will go on my next order. Boy, I can't thank you enough. :D

Edit: Hmmm, I will have to revisit my Thunder Mini's. Its taken me a while to go all around. (Pausing to long for some favorites already.) It would help if I didn't loose that diary I was keeping.

I'd add General Onyx to that list. Just opened my first can and first impression is that it is very doable. I wrote up about it in "what's under your lip"

Ah, wicked good! Thank you. I will be sure to try that too. I like General in general as well. <--teehee

As for my Thunder Mini's I do have, they are mint like flavored. (The can is all the way down stairs and I am exhausted after a hell on earth work day to go down and look, lol) Good, non the less when lookin' for the minty switch up.

I am enjoying all the input guys. You are all so good to me. Thank you!!!

    Somewhere between here and there
Kookie, do you want to get rid of some skruf cranberry? I tried to put some on an order yesterday to try and it made me take it out of my cart. I think they are sold out at getsnus. I like the OR cranberry and wanted to try it. If not that's ok. I just thought I would ask.

general Onyx is fantastic! I find it to be just delicious. But it is fairly strong bergamot. Nick and Johnny also is quite good (I got the white), but it too has bergamot. The whole bergamot thing is very interesting to me, because I do not like earl grey tea, the flavor of which is bergamot. But I really like it in snus.

Roda Lacket is quite good too, and mostly tobacco with a bit of raisin and dried fruit. I saw a review on it, however, that said it had very little salt in it, but I found it to be about as salty as most...not that that is a bad thing to me, I kinda like it, but it was not what I expected.

onyx is my favorite currently. It is clearly a cut above most other snus I've tried.

I like the Roda when I'm in the mood for changing it up a bit. For straight tobacco flavor, I usually go with Ettan or Grovsnus OP. Then again, I have a stockpile of General Wintergreen so my tastes could be suspect. ;)

Okay, I'll jump in here and get your back ExPat. They seem to be grouping up on you now. I opened up a can of Wintergreen right after reading Hit's post. I had the Wintergreen in a sample some months ago and liked it enough to get seven in my last (okay, latest, last sounds like I'm at some finality point) order.

It is different than a lot of other flavors and for the pure baccy type folks, I'm sure that the taste may be a bit Wintergreeny. I personally like it. Not that I'd include one in my regular rotation, but I'll probably throw it into my group can and add a little wintergreenery to my other portions.

The thing I love about snus is that it's not like smoking. You develop your taste to a particular brand and consistently buy that brand. I love having options when I open that traveling can. Of course, I've hardly ever complained about a meal and I know a lot of people that have to have their food, just so.

Now I'm curious how Wintergreen will infiltrate my Onyx. Stay tuned for a follow up......

I would guess that the wintergreen flavor will bleed onto the other portions. I mixed some general mint and OR coffee vanilla in a can and the mint flavor went into the CV. It was good though.

That's exactly what happens. The predominant flavor remains, but you pick up accents of whatever else is in the can. I've found the general mini mints seem go hold their flavor longer than most snus and since I like them, it's nice catching a bit of the flavor in other varieties. I'm not sure if I'd put too many wintergreen's in my can at any one time, but a piece or two should work out fine....... I think.
