I've been lurking around this forum for the last month now - in fact I've visited everyday - so I thought it was about time I joined in

I knew nothing about e-cigarettes until mid September when my neice visited and showed me her Gamucci. She is a croupier and explained that her casino was promoting the device in house to try and entice back punters who were otherwise deceiding to stay at home and play online gambling games - and smoke!

I was amazed and intrigued by the device. As a 20 to 30 a day cigarette smoker (of 21 years), who had never seriously considered giving up cigarettes, I began to see an alternate future open up in front of me - one where I didn't smoke cigarettes - which I find astonishing, as I really enjoy the act of smoking and the effect of nicotine.

After a few days of reading this forum and watching Dustin & Leaford's excellent videos, I plumped for a 901b from Pillbox38 - and I love it. I'm mainly using it in the evening at home at the moment, but it has helped me to significantly reduce the number of cigarettes I smoke and I'm working towards completly replacing them with my new found friend.

Two weeks in and I've already tried Johnson Creek, Totally Wicked and e-cigs own brand liquid and I'm going to order a 'pen style' PVD at the end of the month.

I just wanted to say a big thank you to all the members of this community for all the groundwork already covered. I think these are exciting times with a very exciting product.

HeHe Corkmaster - I think your showing your age - I must confess I never had the opportunity to try Passing Clouds, they went out of production long before I started smoking, but it was a brand my father used to talk about fondly and it seemed it fitting tribute to adopt it as a user name.

I guess I have been very lucky to survive from the days of Passing Clouds; Capstan Full Strength; Players Weights and Woodbines into the dawn of e-smoking. Many have not. Good luck with your e-cigs.

Indeed. I've smoked quite a few brands of untipped cigarettes over the years - Park Drive, Senior Service, Sweet Afton, Major, etc.

One of the (many) things I'm excited about with e-smoking is the chance to try new devices, new liquids and even experiment with home brew flavours. It's a little like walking into a fine Tobacconist shop, to be presented with a bewildering array of products - you want to try them all - until you finally settle into "your brand".
