Hello
I have a wired MTL issue that is happening to me for 7 years, please help me if you can, i would be really really thankful.
First, every thing is the same, the wire i use, the wick, the wraps, the diameter, the liquid, the mod and the tank
I make MTL builds which is ordinary, nothing special with it, BUT, every 10 or 20 builds, without knowing the reason or the secret i make that build that's really magical, the MTL hit that i want,it's like a refreshing hit that makes the world beautiful again, and after the coil expires ( 7 to 12 days of intensive using ), i don't know the reason how to make the same again ?! , as i said every thing i use is the same, but the only repetitive sign of that coil is when i change the wick after a day of using, i find the wick already cut to half from the center of the coil !!, if you an MTL vapor and you have experienced the same or you were able to solve the puzzle and know the secret, please help
Thanks for the long time to read my problem.

Sorry if I tuned late to the conversation. I have experienced this separation of the wick (via burning) while using BF devices. In my experience, it happens when I mistakenly leave the fire button exposed to whatever I put in my pocket — resulting in a prelonged dry-burn with smoke (vape) creeping out of my pocket. I am able to stop it before a battery catastrophe, but the wick is usually burned at the coil(s).

I use a bottom feed system, so this might be obvious. In a tank system, I agree with the other answers . . . wicking, juice flow, and air flow are crucial.

I wonder if your ideal flavor from your setup is right on the verge of burnt? That might explain your more than normal coil/wick replacement regime. My coils last for months, even with gunky NET juices (with dry burns between wicking), though those juices require frequent wick replacements.

Ok, if the best vape experience you have is when the wick burns then you need to change your vaping parameters. The set-up and liquid you use is not satisfying you if you have to turn up the wattage (to the point of burning) to enjoy it. You're basically vaping and inhaling fumes simultaneously.
(I use a tobacco flavour liquid and generally build in SS at 0.5 ohm with the wattage set at 15/16 on a MTL set up. This is at the cusp of burning the wick due to the small diameter of the coil).
Perhaps try changing the flavour to something more pronounced - or up the nicotine for more of a throat hit... and turn the wattage down so you stop burning the wick.
