You don't need a vw device, trust me. I know a number of 3- 4-year ECF vets who use and love their eGos (having tried all kinds of mods along the way; I'm one of them ;)). I'm not saying here that mods are bad--some of them are fantastic! I had a chance to play with a mini ProVari for a day--great device! But I don't need it; it was too bulky and too gadgety for my taste. I know my volts and my watts already and I'm perfectly happy with my small Twists and Spinners.

Don't worry too much about your ideal wattage; it will change with time and the kind of juice you use. You'll figure it all out in no time, once you hold the battery in your hand. If your vivis come with a 2.4 coil, start at 3.4-3.6v on your battery (that combo will put you between 4.7-5 watts) and see how you like it. If it's too cool, just increase the voltage gradually.

Oh cool Katya, thanks for putting my mind AND my pocketbook at ease :) I should have bought the thread cover in this order, wasn't sure which one to get at the time but will get one in my next order. Oops lost the link to the thread cover for the Spinner :(
It will be ok to use it without the cover until I order one, right?

Your vivis will work just fine on your batteries,; they will look unfinished, though, without a thread cover. :p The thread cover also hlps stabilize a larger tank.

With thread cover:

And without:

For Mini vivi novas use thids one:

For the big vivi novas, this one would be better:

There are other sleeves, they will all do the job!

Actually, I think type "D" looks a bit better with the vivi mini (it's the one in the center). It's a little hard to see, but the type "B" is flat on both ends, whereas the "D" has a little lip. I have both types and, to be honest, I'm probably the only one who notices a difference when they are on. There is an advantage with the "B" though, since it's flat and doesn't have airflow grooves, it sometimes works to restrict airflow (depending on what it's used with).

Interesting. I was wondering about the B and D. Thanks, Kitty! :)

Anyway, here they are--with nice descriptions.

eGo Cone Thread Sleeves : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

Most of the vendors only have them in silver, but the Digital Cig (or "Cigz" I can't remember) has them in black. I have "B" in black (it came with my original eGo kit) and I have "D" in sliver, but I wanted a black one. It took me over an hour to find a vendor that carried one and had other stuff I wanted, so I could justify shipping. I have a "C" also, but it's too wide for any of my tanks, even the fat little 5ml.

That's wild! $19.26??? :D

Are those eGo batteries? They look like clones; no logos anywhere...

How much did you pay for shipping, if you don't mind my asking.

Hi Katya. Re: Fasttech I just got 4 X Panny 18650 2250 mah batts for $20.00 incl shipping. As for the "eGo" IDK but ordered the batts on Mar 15 and received them today and they are the Real McCoy. Would go back to them in a heartbeat. Shipping was $1.20.

That's nice to hear. I've never heard about this company. EDIT: N/M. Reading comprehension problems...
$1.20 shipping? Whatever happened to Worldwide Free Shipping?? :p

J/k, j/k...

Does the tar liquid cost more?

How's the throat hit?

I'm not sure - and I'm not sure where the translation is going awry. If you click on a product details page for one with "tar" it notes that there is nicotine and tar, but other items say nicotine and no tar. Hmmm...

It could be they meant it has TA/ tobacco absolute which is an extract from tobacco leaves. Have used it quite a bit, pure form is VERY thick and you either LOVE it or Hate it.

Edit: There is no throat hit from TA as it's a flavoring but may have slight traces of nicotine.

Would that be in a e-liquid just described as caramel? $1.87 E-liquid for Electronic Cigarettes w/Tar (10ml) - camel flavor / low at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Never mind. I see it says Camel.

I was joking...

why would we want tar?

However, while I have some very knowledge and helpful peoples attention. Why do people vape liquids that crack or melt plastics? and why would or wouldn't those same liquids be harmful to vape?

serious

If mixed properly with other flavors TA is quite a nice vape. Prolly for new vapers one of my most popular recipes. As for acidic juice...I stopped using it when I thought the same as you.
