when I started smoking (1975) I could get a pack out of a vending machine for 35 cents.

I started in '72 at about the same price... Then in the service down in NC it was around 15 cents a pack. To think what I was paying recently... Wow...

When I think about it the highest price I have ever payed for a pack of Marlboro was 40$. In a lake camp in the middle of the forrest, one hour away from the nearest store. But as you could imagine 3 days after the supply of my cigarettes had run dry I was glad to be able to buy even one pack.

I think I paid somewhere around $10 at a Vegas casino once.

Right now they hover around $5-6 per pack in Los Angeles. When I started in 1995, packs were about $1.50.

They're like 8.50 in my state, give or take.

I did some NY trips ($9-$10?). I know we bought some there. Then I'm not sure if we bought analogs at the Native American run casino nearby for over $10 a pack(12, more? I cant remember). But I know we were appalled by the price, as I'm sure they probably weren't paying state taxes on it.

I paid around $8 for a pack of camels on a trip to Seattle once.....ONCE.

WOW! I noticed many say $5.00 to $5.99 and then $7.00 to $7.99 ...
Where on Earth do cigarettes cost that much?

Actually, when I would buy regular manufactured cigs, I would put out $3.00 to $3.50 per pack.
I mainly made my own though using filtered tubes and full flavor tobacco and enough of the two
together to make one carton only cost a little under $12.00 and that would last about a week.

So, even at that low of a price, I have found vaping to be very cost efficient because I use
13ml to 18ml in a 7 day period so that is still under what I was paying for RYO/MYO cigs.

Just before I stopped smoking, I used to smoke an English rolling tobacco the price of which (for 40g) of tobacco, was 7,80 € ($ 10.26) and I smoked it in about three days. That made me spend about $ 102 per month, but I also had to purchase leaves, filters, lighters.

But vaping hasn't let me spare money, because I'm somewhere a compulsive buyer, I won't tell how much I spent since I started vaping 8 months ago, that would not be decent

I paid 7.23 for a pack of Benson and Hedges also malboro analogs cost 7.07 at the gas station I work at and there going up again at the beginning of the year. This is all here in houston texas. I'm glad I switched to E cigarettes!
