So glad you are doing well Thom :) I'm currently puffing away on apple flavour, I have finally slowed down a bit on vaping but I still like holding it a lot. Now I remember I would often sit chatting with my friends holding my cig in one hand and lighter in the other for ages until someone would say "are you going to light that thing or not?" made me realize how much of a "fiddler" I am lol

Isn't it though! I smoked for 35+ yrs and I've tried everything. Nothing worked....until this :D
I've only been at it a month and a few days but right now I can tell you I'm not going back to cigs. No chance.
Welcome to the club!

Liar. Health Canada says there's no evidence it helps people quit smoking. ;)

The other thing I noticed: smokers stiiiiink!!!! lol. My wife still smokes and I can't believe what she smells like when she comes back in the house  Can't believe I was stinking up the place like that even though I smoked outside always :(

My wife still smokes and she wants me to vape outside. I posted a thread about a month ago with that as a title in the "new member" section. She is still smoking as of now. Some members suggested to leave an e-cig to hang around so she can give it a try. After a while, she told me she dragged a puff, got a head ache and lit up a cig. My brother switched to e-cig a week ago. Her brother will, I hope, soon do the same thing. What is it gonna be during the cristmass holidays, when vapers will be enjoying their habit indoor while she will have to go outdoor to puff in a stinky?

In the meantime, I have to stealth vape indoor. It works great though. Sooner or later, she will adopt the e-cig. I can't wait for that time when we will be both freely vaping in the bed after making love...

I wish you the same thing !

This nic inhalers are complete garbage. I tried those and hauled on the thing 24/7 and then had a smoke in between!

It will eventually get even easier. Whenever I use to get the urge for a smoke I would give a good couple of puffs and be good to go for a while. When I tried that nic inhaler years ago I would have rather smoked manure as it was just that awful.

Glad its going well for you thom13

LOL I know eh? idiots ;)

I went to the doc the other day for a sinus infection and showed him my e-cig. He has never seen one before so there I was vaping away in front of him hahaha. He didn't know it had nic in it until I told him and then I told him health canada has banned nic juice here. He was flat out stunned because he knows me and he knows what I've tried in order to quit. He's thrilled I'm vaping and made me promise that I would eventually taper (which of course I do plan on doing when I get around to it)

AND about the sinus infection...
for YEARS he has been saying they were from smoking so I said WHAT'S WITH THIS SINUS INFECTION!!! I haven't had a smoke in over a month. He said that when people quit smoking the silia (?) regenerates itself and LOTS of people get sinus infections when this happens because your body is making more mucus to clear out the crap from smoking. He said 'we don't tell people that usually because if we do, who's going to want to quit and end up with a sinus infection'
Ok. It made sense...
This will be interesting for me though because every single month, without fail I got a sinus infection while smoking and have had this for I don't know how many years. I am hoping it eventually stops.

Why do you have to vape outside? It's not smoking! Just vape away and tell her to physically remove you from the house if she doesn't like it :D

My work even lets me vape at my desk fgs! The said (and I quote) "what are we going to do? Make you go outside to smoke a fake cig!"

I don't take advantage and vape my head off though. Only after lunch :D
