I wanted to post about a positive experience I had in a restaurant/bar in Charlottesville, Virginia yesterday. We were traveling through Virginia and had stopped for dinner. We were sitting in the bar area and I asked the bartender if I could use my E-Cig (a Joye eGo). She said as long as there was no smoke, it was fine.
She seemed to be vaguely aware of the recent decision by Ken Cuccinelli, Virginia's new Attorney General, that e-cigarettes are not "smoking" and are therefore not covered by Virginia's smoking laws. Some people may think this guy is a bit "out there", but I like his position on e-cigs. (His decision to re-design of the Great Seal of Virginia (originally designed in 1776) to cover the exposed breast of the Roman figure of Virtus may be another matter).
