I went thru the same issue... And then someone gave me some Kanthal ae.
Maybe I'm crazy but it seemed to make a difference. I've tried ALOT of the "boutique" wires and keep coming back to the 3 feet of Kanthal ae that was given to me.

How is kanthal ae different then the standard a1?

Not a very scientific explanation but....
It is supposed to heat up slightly more rapidly.
I think it may. It just seems "right" to me.
I can't explain it logically. I just like it. I found it just fits my vape style.
I don't know if you can find small quantities but give it a go and see what you think.

Avid Vapor sells it in 10' lengths in 24, 26, & 28g...

Machine oil is officially gone... I did a little write up over in the CA thread earlier today. The Derringer has replaced the Mephisto for now until I get my Peko parts and get one of them built. The vape is pretty dang good right now. I put it right up there with the Nuppin' but the edge goes to Peter's creation, not by much though. I've already put 18ml through it in the last 24hrs. I think I might have to take the welding rod out of it and put something a little thinner in it.

Day 2 of my Derringer has been great. Weird flavor is gone, I think it was vapors tongue now to be honest after switching juices.

the 26G 7 wraps 3/32 3mm RxW is going strong! It's just better then the Odin in every possible way.

26 gauge is by far my favorite. I do a dual 7 wrap microcoil on my Trident for .41 ohms, its a sleeper too, so it's all one piece of wire. Think I'll take a pass on this one, I'm in the market for an Odin eventually, my buddy has one and its awesome. Chowderhead just finished my cyclone base too, so that should be here soon.

Great to hear the flavor is there for you as well. I know mine was because it wasn't cleaned well enough. BTW, the Odin guys should be by here to skewer you anytime now... I chalk it up to the Odin was just waaaaaayyyyy over hyped in every category. I don't miss mine either...

Id post mine but i still have the same single coil from the last pic i posted lol. I did get the black delrin top cap and drip tip from praxas last week though, looks great i love it.

I know i know, im sick of this ipv2, the damn resistance keeps jumping lately but thats a different story. Id love a reo or something equivalent. Never tried one before.

Dude, get a reo (with the brand new adjustable ss 510 connection) and one of these bad boys from Chowderhead (or otherwise bottom feed modded) and your whole vape world will be rocked beyond recognition.

Nothing against regulated box vaping, but dripping without having to drip is the kitty's behind.

I love this forum, but its a wallet drainer lol. Ive always wanted it for that exact reason. Not having to really drip all the time would be awesome, ill throw it on my birthday list.
