hiya, tweety! atty got a ''yellow bird operation'' going!

since we can reschedule there should be NO unattended turnings ...... imo

I do agree, in principle, but I don't think we should just say no if a vet wants to watch the turning at the exact time they joined. If they want to do it, just have them post on both sides of the turning and be done with that. Why do you want to forbid it?

cause if it's a solo turning then it's not a party anymore?

but, no one wants to forbid it, it's just that nailing the timing is almost impossible

one last shot:

"...present at the moment of their turning. If no committee members are available at the scheduled time, then the celebrant should make two posts, one before and one after the scheduled time. "

i guess we need to cover any eventuality - so, if they have to be right there for an attended turning we should advise them to post 5 minutes before and 5 minutes after ....

Why 5? Why not give them a range? Within half an hour (hour) before and after?

i would word it ''right before'' and ''right after'' because that's what we can verify when we are there

because we can't verify that way - at the least they need to fulfill the same requirements as with an attended turning ....

and i really don't see why we even should allow an unattended turning with the new flexibility if we get it

Because we're doing it to make them happy. And if that's what makes them happy, they should be allowed to be happy!

Look, this will probably never happen, but one never knows. Besides, it's also possible that we may not be present--for whatever reason--it covers us if no one from the committee is present.

as long as we state them up front, and are consistent in how we apply the rules we should be fine. it's ok to have different rules for different conditions. it's called flexibility ;)

do we go with this or no?

...present at the moment of their turning. If no committee members are available at the scheduled time, then the celebrant should make two posts, one right before, and right after the scheduled time. "

Because unattended turnings are rare (or almost non-existent) but we need to know how to handle them--should they occur.

That's all I'm saying.

Other than that, it's really up to you, guys. I need to go back to RW.

Your gramma is dandy! :)

I think we need to submit the changes to J0ker--we can fine tune after we've heard back from him.
