Morri, I agree with you--but we are now talking about eliminating the need to have an avatar party in order to qualify. The party would be for those who really want to mark their day with a group of friendly people who are willing to be with them and launch some fireworks in their honor. The welcome thread alone (and possibly their acknowledgment of it) would suffice for the contest.

have you seen ''my utmost concerns''

i wholeheartedly believe attending their turning with us should have a reward. but we now can be much more flexible

The consensus so far is that they should come through the pre-vet thread. However, backtracking on the current "anyone can open a welcome thread" policy (if we in fact are backtracking) is DANGEROUS if we've already posted something else. So make sure you understand what we want to do, vs what we think we CAN do. That's what Tibby was having us remember. I'm not saying one way or the other. Just reminding.......

Atty, I believe that 1 and 2 take care of that, no? Do you still have concerns?

I have, but I'm still not convinced. Our company is their reward. If they don't get it, then I don't want to waste my time on them. We're awesome, Tibs--don't forget that! ;) :D

morri - some answers for you

1. they were never taken out of the monthly drawings but lost their chance for the grand prize drawing at the end of the year
2. no, you couldn't - welcome threads have to be opened in a special forum only accessible to vets
3. should be explained now

KK Tibs, regarding number 2, I did not mean I could open a thread in the special vet area.....just that I could open a thread. I am still having trouble understanding the concept and it's interactions.....opening the thread.

hugs
morri

and I am going to find your main concerns now and read em up. ;)
