Speaking of ELA V2's... Nach we have not got your take on it... V1 vs. V2.

Well, right now I'm holding off using the V2 because right now I'm being spoiled rotten by my IPV2. But that's a whole other topic.

As it stands, I like the feel of the stock horn switch housing on the V1 over the V2. But I love love LOVE the locking ring and band! While I enjoy the stock knurling on the V2 to be unique and new, I still prefer the diamond knurl... moreso, the the double diamond knurling as on the V1! But I'm waiting for my knurled accent rings to ship... (Kevin, get it in the mail!) :) I'm happy to have solid caps now too, even though its nice to have the old V1 top caps.

At the end of the day, I prefer:

Top Cap - V2
Locking Ring - V2
Switch Housing - V1
Button - V2 (I'm torn!)

The ELA V2 comes out on top in my opinion.

Well you cant compare the power of the IPV2 50 watt mod to a pure mechanical ELA V2. That being said V2 vs. V1... I kept my V1 cap as it is a classic and no longer available.
Yes the horns are nicer on the V1 due to the smooth rounded transition where as the V2's horns have a sharper edge. But the V2's larger button is easier to lock/fire.. I like the flat button switch the best anyway..
The locking ring on the V2 vs. the V1... V2 locks with less force and has a better electrical junction. V2 can even be fired without the locking ring tightened.. My V1 would not......
