I still stand by my opinion on it. Everyone wanted it specced out to their "pet" 18650 battery and there's no way to accommodate all battery sizes. I'm glad David chose the AW IMR because it's a shorter 18650. Longer 18650's will still have a gap but at least they'll be usable. If he would've went with a longer battery that other people like, that would leave some people unable to use the accent ring at all.

ELA check-in.

I could not be happier, such a finely engineered & machined tool.

I did swap out the stock compression ring for a diamond knurled one, which I prefer. The added grip of the diamond cut fits perfect in my hand. I tend to push the mod down onto my finger rather than push my finger up into the button. The diamond provides just the right amount of traction for a nice hold, without feeling rough. The slant knurl worked fine, but this just feels better to me.

Are there any plans to get some Contact Kits made up soon, specifically the adjustable positive pin? I am all spare parted out now, haha, just need the last piece to my "just in case" stash ;)

Hope everyone has a great weekend, or extended weekend if that applies to your part of the globe/job

Actually I could go with slightly different sizes if David ever made them but for me, the benefit of the current size is that when I use a slightly longer 18650, I have an O-Ring that fits perfectly in the gap and both protects it if I knock it over and looks like it was made to be there.

hey guys. i looked for an informational thread about the v2, but i couldn't find it. i know when the v1 was being sold there were additional things to buy to be able to accomodate larger battery sizes. is this the case for the ela? or can it support 18650s without additional parts bought?
thanks.

Out of the box, both v1 and v2 can accomodate 18650 batteries. There is an optional extended tube for 18650+Kick mode.

So - do you think I could get a modder to make me a hybrid adapter for this

and for the P+, same problem.
What are you after? In both cases the P+ and the ELA tube are 20-ish mm in diameter so if you were after a hybrid look you'd need a 20mm atomizer too. Are those common?
