Weight has nothing to do with it as it compresses the switch in and sits on the horns, even in its lightest configuration with an IMR 18350. The button needs to depress just past flush to fire so you can put all the weight you want on top of it:)

Thank you David!

PS: I only use AW IMR's

David, I'm sure you are correct. Yes, I started fiddling around with it as soon as I got it - it is my nature, unfortunately. I didn't try it before putting that other oring in there, so I probably threw it off somewhere. I will fiddle around with it some more and get it back to its original configuration. For some reason, I can't stop taking it apart and gawking at all the bits and pieces. It's an amazing piece of work.

Thank you James, i'm glad you are liking your new ELA and thank you for taking the time to post up those pics, it is truly appreciated!

David

I only have a cheapie 18500 with me today and I tried it out. There's about 3/64" gap between the accent ring so I'll probably just run without the ring on these batts. I actually kinda like the look without the ring.

Your wish is my command:

Honestly, I always hesitated on telescopes because of the gap when used in larger battery modes. I know, im a bit shallow when it comes to aesthetics, especially when spending 200.00 dollars for a PV.......

BUT, this is the first one I saw that the gap was not as offensive, and when I saw the video and how it did not wobble, plus Super-T reputation of machining, I fell in love with it and ordered it.

This a surpassed the "just accepting" the gap, but It actually looks amazing. I dont know if its the finish, or the accents of the top cap or anything else, but that gap actually adds to the the aesthetic looks. Im glad you made the changes to the inner tube, I liked the satin, but this just looks , well, just look at it, any description just sounds like "fanboy" comments, so all I can say is I love it. I cant wait to see it in person and hold it in my hands.

Thanks David, looks as though it was well worth all your hard work in planning and producing, and our waiting.

It's the symmetry caused by 24mm/22mm/24mm/22mm/24mm. That's also why a 22mm atty don't look like crap on it. :)

Does that tank have some sort of funky ledge on the bottom of it that makes it sit up so high and the gap so big or can the adjustable hybrid post of the ELA be backed off more and the tank screwed on flush? Most tanks should fit flush and look almost integrated on it (at least the tanks i have do).

Unfortunately there are a few atomizers or tanks that have a built in sort of ledge around the 510 connection so that the user does not slap the tank flat and cut off the airflow. That was my only problem with my Terminator and the Ody V1. The Ody V2 came with channels on the bottom for airflow. The new Diver RBA has that ledge built in the connection and thats why I didnt jump in and get it.

That's why standard cartos are a must in any cartotank, I hate those flanged ones. AFAIK, Atmistique is removing the stupid flange on the Diver after I raised hell about it... Haha. Well not really, but I voiced my opinion strongly. :)

Yeah that's the tank. there's a 1/32" depth ledge that's just a hair too wide to get it flush.

Thanks Kscoggins, i appreciate you sharing the pics and info! Enjoy your new ELA!

Oh, I am and I will!
This really is a piece of art. Heavier than I expected, but I like the feel.
Excellent work, I think you have (another) legend on your hands with ELA!

I can understand why they design them that way, soooo many people have problems understanding that carto tanks and most tanks NEED airflow. One of the most common complaints is : I cant get my carto with a tank to fire, most commonly its because they have it slapped down flat and it just wont fire, it just fries.

As a matter of fact, Ive contemplated making the channels on my Odys a bit deeper, I like an airy draw(adds to the giant clouds). But with ELA having the channels I dont think I will have to. Thank goodness Im a bit of a coward or I would have ended it up with too much air with ELA.

I have been thinking for a while about finding some stainless steel washers that would fit between thanks with built in gaps. But you would have to find one with the inner hole that is not too fitted around the 510 connection and thick enough to take a dremel and make channels.

With so many modders making 3rd party good quality stainless steel provari type rings, I wish someone would make an adapter for 510 devices so you can place it between your mod and tank that would fill the gap and at the same time have channels for airflow. There are a few around but they are chrome or base metal. I found one in a euro site but it was only for use with GG UFS.

HInt , hint, you modders out there, you could make a small mint.
