Well, I pulled the trigger! Now the wait is going to be agonizing! I almost bought a Legacy instead because of the price difference but the integrated kick cap n DNA cap to come out later sold me. I'm super excited. I am getting the polished model with brass accents, a kick tube n extra brass accents. Will two rings under the top cap be enough to cover the entire 18650 kick tube?

The 18650+Kick tube will probably need 3 rings to cover the whole thing, two rings for just the regular 18650 tube

I just thought about that... I bought that tube too, but if I have the 20D module, I'll never use that tube. Ah well... at least it'll be there for a package IF I ever part with it. But i don't see that happening. :)

Wiz, I'm actually jealous of you. On your first "hunt" you have already acquired something that took me 2 years of waiting. I have never, even during the current batch of new telescopic batteries (69, Roller, Gus...) been as excited as I am about a product such as the ELA PV.
David has kept the simplicity legacy of his previous designs and brought a beast of a PV to the current market. Other designs, current ones, to escape the parameters of normality are adding complexities to something that should be simple. Top buttons designs that resemble a Swiss watch internally. All this in a purely MECHANICAL mod. More things and more parts to worry about. Not for me, I pass.

Nic

Hi Nic

Well, i know it is my first hunt but i wanted something reliable and that would last for as long as i wanted to continue vaping. I could of gotten anything out there but i started to think about those electronic devices and we all know what happens to electronic devices right? It isn't a matter that IF it will fail, its a matter of WHEN they will fail. Don't get me wrong, there are some nice electronic devices out there and i may get one in the future but from what i can tell, those are still evolving. I am a firm believer of "you get what you pay for". I believe i will have this ELA for a LONG time, longer then any electronic device out there right now. Heck, who knows, maybe 5 years down the road i will be able to pass it on to one of my kids and i am sure it will look just as nice as when i got it.

I can GUARANTEE you that as I customer of David (Super-T Manufacturer) you got yourself a PV that will last a long freaking time, and on top of that, just by using toilet paper to clean it; I repeat : toilet paper to clean the joint threads and the atomizer connector, you will have your ELA hitting as hard as day one in a year from now. I know that to be a fact because that's exactly how I have been cleaning my P+ for a whole year and it hits better than any of my purely brass contact mods with the same age.

Nic

Toilet paper huh, well i have lots of that around here so that won't be a problem ;)
Now i am jealous of you cause you already enjoying a P+ while i use my little twist, i guess that makes us even?

Well, I hope that my fanboism excitement hasn't scared you :). As anavidfan has put it, we are here to help. We got a lot of good peeps in this sub. Sometimes we are quiet, very quiet, but we lurk and watch (watch for Snork though, dude is always around :) ).

Nic

Not @ all, makes me anxious if it getting here, gonna be a LONG wait but i am sure it will be totally worth it! You guys are an awesome crowd and i am so glad i have found this place.

So.....I bid you welcome and shoot questions anytime you have them. If not one of us, either David and his mom Susan (LadyMama) show up frequently.

You take care, Wiz. Wish you the best.

Nic

TY Nic, I totally feel @ home here!

Take care

Wiz

lately, I was bought Kick and 18490 x 2. but 18490 is out of stock. only one remained.
So I had bought 18490 only one. after 2 weeks, I openned my parcel, there are TWO 18490!!
I was really happy!!! and thanks to superT!

But Kick is not working. It come to me became a broken.
Because broken Kick, you gave +1 18490 to me? :glare:

finally, I send kick to EVOLV, and fix it.
I waste time 2 month.

This is funny story.haha:laugh:

Sorry to hear your Kick failed you, Evolv is really good about honoring their warranty on them and i'm glad to hear they got you fixed up. The extra battery was just because you originally tried to order two, but couldn't since inventory said we only had one left, but i found another one and just through it in for you, no charge :)

Does the Panasonic protected 3100mAh battery fit the ELA? How does it perform under load when compared to the AW Protected batteries of the same size?

Panasonic 3100mah performs the exact same as the AW 3100mah as they both use the same panasonic cell, however, the 2600mAh outperforms them both in its ability to hold higher voltage under load and has more useable mah. I recommend the AW2600mAh to all my customers. It's easy to get sucked into the mah ratings which can be misleading.

Pretty much, though i'd only use one, it looks best that way IMO. Most all telescoping mods have a dip down in the extended section and i feel this looks best with one ring on it. You'll have to see it in person to judge for yourself :)

In that case can I change my extra set of rings to stainless so that I have both to choose from?
