I do this with my brass parts but have left out the vinegar so far and it still works:
Jewlery cleaning DIY recipe
Ingredients for homemade jewelry cleaner:
flat pan covered in foil with the shiny side up (I used a 9×9 baking pan)
boiling water: 1 cup
vinegar: 1/2 cup
baking soda: 1 tablespoon
salt: 1 tablespoon
Setup: Gather your ingredients and line your pan with a sheet of foil (shiny side up). Lay out your dirty jewelry and have each part of the jewelry touch the foil. Not sure why this is important, but apparently it is. (Note: I cleaned my silver and 14k white gold without any problems. I don’t recommend using this cleaner on precious gems, stones, and/or pearls. Not sure what the reaction would be.)
Instructions:
Mix 1 cup of boiling water, 1 tablespoon of salt, and 1 tablespoon of baking soda together. Then slowly pour the mixture into the foil lined pan. Use a spoon if necessary to stir and reposition the jewelry.
Now comes the fun part! Slowly add the 1/2 cup of vinegar and watch it do its magic! Bubbles galore cleaning every crevice.
Let it sit for 5-10 minutes. If necessary, use a spoon to stir the salt and baking soda, and to evenly distribute the jewelry.
Rinse in water and dry. Enjoy your shiny jewelry!~
I never did post this:
ibtanked 25mm OCD tank. While putting this together I decided to try the LR Boges without a Crown/Kick just to see if it'd work, and surprisingly, it's not too bad. I've done the same before in my REO and the result was rather pathetic, but it seems to work pretty good in this setup (at least down to the 3.8v that this battery is at). I guess the voltage drop is just a lot less? It's not the best vape (I prefer a little warmer), but it's definitely not bad. If you're traveling or something and worried about your kick breaking or something, LR Boges are probably a safe bet.
Oh, PS, that brings me to my next question. What's the best way to remove the tarnish from the brass rings?
