Got in on the second batch and bought two as well... Couple weeks apart if I remember correctly

I remembered a thread over in the REO forums about torching the A7's a while back; here's what was posted for a color/temp guide:
so in Fahrenheit you'll need 1004-1112 degrees for blue

Edit: a bit of googling makes it sound like the temperature where it turns blue can vary greatly depending on the amount of chromium in the steel. I do see some reports of someone having success with the oven method, but who knows what grade it is.

I blue stainless steel by taking a propane torch to it, the problem is, you have to experiment a bit, sometimes you heat it too long and get a dark brown look. I only heat one end of the tips and that way the blue is at the bottom, turning to gold turning to silver towards the top.
yeah, i would imagine a great deal of confounding variables come into play- atmospheric O2, type of heat, item temp or flame temp? kind of stuff.
I ordered a second, order #161**. Stoked I will have one of each finish. I love my precise mods, love them, but the o-ring thing is a bit of pain if you change out which types of batteries you use. ELA, I haven't had to play with that o-ring once. I also haven't had to adjust the switch. I love this thing, and glad my hands are getting more accustom to it.

Mine are 4/10 #15461, and 6/18 #16184. It's all good! I will wait patiently!
I think that'd look good too. Or even dark yellow, or some of the other colors that stainless turns. Just so there's some contrast.
