Sorry are you saying that he did end up trading it to someone or did he back out completely and kept it?

That sucks mate. Many prefer the look of the polished anyway so get your name on the list quick as it really should have been filled up by now.

really? i just sold my kayfun 3.1 because i like my Big Ben from Art of Exhale... a lot!
Much easier, much lighter - titanium, and a bit less in price... taste and vape is imo more consistent.
Don't get me wrong, I think the kayfun 3.1 is a super device really...

but i'm giving AoE a good shot... got 3 more attys coming in now; a Geni, a Dripper, and a sort of filler-fed dripper the Prometey; all Titanium and all about $130. If they all work like the BB, I'll be tickled... for real.

Ingeneious little design in the BigBen... an over coil 4 or 5 tank that feeds through a bit of rolled up mesh right to the silica wick/coil. I don't know how it does it, but it freeking works.

$100 is a great price for the Lite, and if it works better than the full kit, wow.... those Svoe folks are serious about their gear!

I'm waiting on a prometey too. Looks like a great device. I might even have it bofore my ELA. I just ordered a Kayfun lite from Russia, too. I guess I get to see if you were right in selling it off.

I get it; you saw "AW" and thought " well this is AW " but its not really... actually I didn't realize there was a blue AW; whether its a "clone" or a "fake" or what, like someone capitalizing on the name just to get them sold, I could easily do the same thing... hear about a piece of vaping gear and just buy the first thing googled or the cheapest price for a certain brand.
Thats part of jumping on a good thing.
*I don't know if you are a newb or not (pulls out soap box)...

The point is, actually theres points.
1. mechanical devices are currently all the rage due to RBA's and how a "good" or "high end" mech is the ultimate today. If you are new, you don't realize thats why there is such a demand.
2. RBA's are sold as "for advanced vapers"... there is not only a learning curve, there's a safety factor... especially with LR coils below 1.5 Ohms. So newbs who jump on the train be warned; this is a good thing but it takes some learning and experience.
3. * putting cheap batts in a high end device is like getting a Corvette and... fill in the blank....

I'm actually an intermediate to advanced intermediate, but I still have a ways to go. I started with an AGA-S about 4 months ago and after much frustration I can rebuild fairly efficiently. I just haven't figured out how to build for a specific ohm yet.

Not sure if anyone else had this problem with InTaste, but it looks like most of the Kayfun Lite orders placed on the 4th got sent back by German customs. From what I can tell, orders placed the day before and after got delivered just fine. Unfortunately, my Lite was one of those sent back. Its sitting in Limbo somewhere (InTaste warehouse maybe?) and I haven't gotten much detail out of customer service yet. I guess now its a race to see which will be delivered first, my ELA or my KLite.

EDIT: And yes, the Lite only comes in one finish. It should look pretty sharp on a polished ELA.

I got caught in that mess too, still no word

I dont know unless they really had bad dexterity on their pinky or ring finger. I have small hands and the ring finger works great.
Main reasons is they are running in vaping packs that dont appreciate good ole US devices and oooh and awe for exotic imports. Maybe they are such flippers that they have to sell and get whatever "IN" MOD is hot at the moment because its hard to get.

NOt that its not a nice looking device, but a rather common looking tube of steel with a neat logo on it. Seems to me that the "LOGO" crazy generation goes crazy for logos because it proves exclusivity and high price.

I think that if you laid out a bunch of devices and took all the logos/ price tags off most would get looked over and people would go for weight , design, actual features one can use, and quality.

Awesome response.

I've been playing around with an idea this morning...

err64Sf.png

I might stop by the hardware store and get a couple feet of copper wire sometime soon and see whether this idea ends up to be genius or just irritating.

for a "stand"?

think of this: find a piece of copper and/or SS tubing that fits around the OD of the ELA. two o-rings that fit in the grooves of the bottom accent ring. roll the tubing up over the o-rings. so, when you are ready to stand it up, you slide the tubing down to be flush with the table. when you are ready to vape, slide it back up.
