for a "stand"?

think of this: find a piece of copper and/or SS tubing that fits around the OD of the ELA. two o-rings that fit in the grooves of the bottom accent ring. roll the tubing up over the o-rings. so, when you are ready to stand it up, you slide the tubing down to be flush with the table. when you are ready to vape, slide it back up.

Yeah, a kick stand is what I had in mind. A stand that stays on the P+ or ELA. Did I read somewhere that the ELA is more stable standing than the P+?

I keep envisioning a cool stainless steel doughnut like ring with thick rubberized material, like a giant o-ring so it can grip around the device. Something streamlined but unobtrusive that you can leave on the bottom of the ELA or other Precise units.

Actually it can be similar to the accent rings, just a 1/8 of and inch wider than the ELA , heavy bottomed with a ridge so you can slip in thicker O-ring like rubber to suit all of the Precise PVs , like a slip on bottom cap.

Maybe with a hex shaped so if you do lay it on its side it wont roll.

think of a PV sized slip on pencil eraser made of stainless on the bottom and nice black rubber.

I thought of a name, the Precise slip on base with a firing button extension so you can actually still use your Precise

Here is some information to kinda solve your problem . Really helped me out when I was starting. Now I can build a coil to whatever ohm I want . You also have to account for wick diameter as well but this should get you close enough to begin with : ) http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo.../320042-resistance-wire-kanthal-nichrome.html
I'm actually an intermediate to advanced intermediate, but I still have a ways to go. I started with an AGA-S about 4 months ago and after much frustration I can rebuild fairly efficiently. I just haven't figured out how to build for a specific ohm yet.

I have a question, cause at this point I just don't think it is possible, but there is a difference. I just don't know what it is.

Anyone else get a longer battery life on the p+18650 compared to the ELA in 18650 mode. I haven't run another battery full cycle in the ELA yet, so I can't say if this is true with any other battery size. With the p+18650 it seems I am getting twice the battery life compared to the ELA same battery.

I know it doesn't make sense, but is there something I am doing wrong?

Edit:: I will add, I am using the exact same atomizer also. At the exact same resistance.

Freckle I can't see any reason why other than the loss that occurs at junctions of the ELA, but it has got to be so minute that it really shouldn't matter. I'm curious why too lol. Speaking of loss why does everyone care so much about voltage drop I swear lol. If you can tell the difference of .1 to .3v and actually let it sway your decision to spend extra money on a mod my hat goes off to you your OCD far outweighs mine lol.

I haven't ever put noalox on my threads of the ELA. Well I just now did that, I notice that even the ring grabs better. I am wondering if my ring is sliding just enough to actually make me think that my battery is dead, or below the voltage that I would prefer. Seriously I have been at the point where I have been changing out brand new aw imr 18650 batteries every few hours.

well if you're like me, you will be picking up the ELA twice as often without realizing it.... seriously

HA HA thought about that also. I seriously purchased new batteries because of this. I believe vcoupe had something when he mentioned the ring slipping. It is very minute, but it is enough to make your connection poor enough to make you think that your battery is low. I seriously notice a better grab on the ring since I put the noalox on there. Hoping that solves the issue, don't know why I didn't think of it before posting.

Freckle the best thing to do would be to grab a multimeter and do some investigating. It will also give you peace of mind..... I know mine does. Sometimes I'll think a battery is dead test it on my meter and find out it still has a full charge..... then I know it's a device problem and trouble shoot it from there : )
