Ive given away a few items I miss and sold a couple that I regret. But its all good and if its not, then like you say, search the classies and kick yourself in the .....

Love that clip. Its really very true. NO ONE NEEDS a high end device. I kept telling myself that for a year since I saw my first Precise and a couple others. I had a great one ( my Sabers) rugged, kept me satisfied. It was black.

But my "lusting" finally made me break and I got the ELA. Has it blown my mind? Has it changed my life, has it made me cooler ?

Nah, has it made me happy? A great big yes. For all my own selfish reasons. IS it the best , to me it is. All the technical things about the ELA have not disappointed me. I love it because its made amazingly well, it performs well, it will last forever and it has SUper-T backing me for a lifetime.

I did have to lower my wattage, and lower my Nic, if that means anything.

I love it , its simple as that.

ELA has landed! My wife is the best. She brought it to work for me so I didnt have to drive home without it. Efest imr 18650, brass accents and Ithaka on top. Im in vaping heaven. I actually had to open my Ithaka up a bit to let more juice flow. Hits like a beast! Well worth the wait and coinciding mental anguish. I cant believe how light of a touch will fire the atty yet it wont fire standing on the button. Awesome engineering. David and the Super T team have blown me away and earned my unwavering recommendation. Already managed to entice the purchase of an ELA from an employee at my local vape shop. Keep up the good work guys and thank you!

For what it is worth i would like to make an apology for my collective rants and accusations made on this forum. They served no real purpose and held little ground or worth other than to let of an accumulative amount of aggression and agitation from unrelated circumstances. In other words i feel the delays were the straw that broke me. I have been vaping for over 4 years now and through my years i have had times of disappointment from many products and vendors. I have realised i have developed a want for items rather than a need and consistently chase various things and require them quickly in order to satisfy this habit. I have known this for a while but today its coming to an end. I have decided to sell majority of my collection and only keep what i need. Anavidfan i owe majority of this transformation to you and your kind words on this forum. Anyway thanks for reading and happy vaping.

My DID made me love knurling...

Hmm maybe that will be the first topper for my ELA, which IS on its way. I'm sure ELA's gonna sample just about every topper I have in rotation.
*good thing y'all can't see that some will not be color coordinated...
My first ELA is a satin... like i like my P+'s

WOW, I dont know if its just me feeling overwhelmed by the fact that someone actually cared about what I post here or my present state of health and depression problems Ive been dealing with for years, but you have me practically in tears. My eyse are welled up and i cant even see my screen clearly.

SOrry if this seems totlally girly and silly, I alwys strived to be non-girly and overly emotional. But thanks and youre welcome if I helped you to feel calmer and less stressed.

COM76 that's great that Anavidfans words helped you to find some peace in what sounds like a difficult time for you. That was a very heartfelt apology and I wish you well in addressing the "unrelated circumstances". This is one of the best forums on ECF and your post bears this out.

Well im sure with close to 4000 posts on here you have reached a lot more people than just me. Nothing wrong with being girly by the way. Its amazing how easy it is to get sidetracked from the things that do matter and how we can magnify the things that do not. Going through memory lane right now with all my gear and remembering so many moments of joy and frustration. Going to play it cool from now on. Thanks again.

The 18490 are 1100 mAh and the 18500 is 900 mAh IIRC, but it looks like 18500 is going away, seems most are selling the 18490's now it seems.
The black 18500 ones are protected and not suitable for low ohms, and doesn't have the "safe chemisty" of the IMR's.

Sorry for dragging up an old topic, but I have been getting myself confused for a while now, and please be gentle with me because I am not as young as I used to be. I need everything explained in easy to understand words.

I am just starting out with Super T products, being newish to vaping in general. Moved up from ego's to a P+18500 and I am using a black AW IC protected battery rated at 1500 Mah. I also have an ELA and I am interested in stocking up a little with batteries

So my first question is " what makes it protected " ??
I am also guessing, after reading the above " protected is not safer " ??

Told you I was new

Thank you in advance for any answers, and please be gentle with me

Being very basic here, but simply put a protected cell has a circuit inside the battery that cuts off the battery in an over-charge and over-discharge state. This is why protected batteries are a little bit taller than the non-protected. The protection circuit will also "monitor" the discharge rate of a battery, which make them unsuitable for a SLR applications.

If in doubt, I would recommend picking up 1600mah AW IMRs... Although they don't have the capacity that the 2000mahs have, they basically power anything you throw at them. A good charger is also a very good investment. I just bought a XTAR VP2 and have been very impressed by its functions (though I've only had it for a day now so it might be FOTM syndrome:))

If you have time I would give this thread a read through: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ecf-library/129569-rechargeable-batteries.html

Fantastic answer with regards to the protected bit :toast: that has cleared up most of my questions.

The fact that it is a little taller will also explain the small gap on the ELA in 18500 mode. I have the pila charger, as I was informed by my vendor, that was the one to go for. I am in the UK so I use a UK based super T distributor

SLR application ?? = Low res

Thanks again

The pila, from what I've read is a good charger, so no worries there.

Technically, yes, SLR is low resistance, but rather super low resistance. low res is generally about 1.5ohms. The latest trend in vaping seems to be resistances below 1ohm. I've just gotten started last month on SLR, and RBAs in general, but I can say that it's a very good vape when built right. Lots of information, reading and tutorials really pay off in terms of what you can do with various setups.
