Precise ELA Tidbit: The extension tube on the front page of this thread, with its sparkly finish, is not what the final finish will be. That was beadblasted aluminum prototype, which is obviously not what the final stainless steel finish will be.

The finish type and color of the stainless steel extension will be as pictured below and is what will partially show when you extend it out to 18650 mode. It contrasts well with both the polished and satin finish of the main body:

Gorgeous. I admit that I was less than blown away by the look of the extension tube on your prototype. I should have had more faith. That looks fantastic

Wow Dave, freeking awesome mod you have here! Hey, any chance we could see some pics of a telescoped/extended ELA that shows what it will look like in Kicked 18650 mode with the inner Kick extension tube finish that we'll be getting? From that I think we can get a fairly good idea of what it will look like without the Kick and/or smaller batteries. Also, was curious if the flanges on the base that partially come around the fire button align flat/flush with the fire button, or does the fire button extend slightly beyond those flanges like on the PrecisePlus? Couldn't tell for sure on the pics you have up on the site and here. Absolutely beautiful work man! Thanks

Oh dear, the ext looks great, but I have you to know that was one deciding factor on my finish. I seriously have got to stop watching this thread.

I will be happy with what ever comes my way cause truth be told I have no idea what I want. Next time just add an option for us to let you decide.

Edit**

Now thinking about it, satin finish with the polished kinda ext and the extra polished accent rings...Hmmm. I don't think that will look to bad. EXCITED

That's brilliant for eliminating the ring marks that are so common on telescoping mods, and the picture in my head of it sitting between those two tubes looks pretty damned good. Nice work.

No telescoping; and only one tube (within the main body).

Edit: Woops, yes it is telescoping. I mis-spoke. I was referring to the non-threaded aspect of the design. I wouldn't think ring marks would be an issue since the tubes don't thread together.

T8, as Cj said, your default ELA will be able to handle any 18xxx battery. From a 18350 all the way to a 18650. Your DEFAULT ELA should also be able to handle a 18350 with a kick and a 18500 with a kick. Now, if you ever wanna use a 18650 with a kick, you should also buy the longer tube for 19.99 (if I'm not mistaken) for that purpose.

Strangely enough, CJ, I never thought about the other multiple batteries configurations with the longer tube. If I was gonna take a guess, you should be able to use a 18650 kicked or a 18500 kicked. I assume that the added length of the 18650+kick would be too long for a 18350+kick configuration.

Edit : rofl ! Again I definitely need to read the posts with a little more attention. I only "elongated" what Cj said. Sorry, CJ.

T8, you couldn't have made a better choice. Systematically, I'm eliminating every other mechanical mod that I ever had. My P+18650 is a keeper though, hehehe.

I am keeping my Legacy 18650 kicked, and ELA,along with the Smok Natural i have coming too.I have retired the Smok Telescope i have though,it was retired the day i recieved my Legacy in the mail.My ELA will soon take the #1 spot with my Legacy as the backup though.Have not really decided on what to do with the Natural???
