I finally got my umbrella ela ela ela......... gorgeous mod, absolutely beautiful... it even put my 2 month old brass King mod inside my drawer... just have one issue.... is there any way I can make the firing button stop rotating????

Congrats! And no, you can't. I bet I know why you ask, too. The best solution I've found is to sand the sharp corners down a little from the button's slider channel to keep them from being so stabby, sand the top corners of the slider to allow it to lock with a wider range of rotation, and just keep working the slider to break in the locking detent.

Nope, it's the only design flaw I've seen on Precise products. Hopefully in the future, David will ovalize the switch or put a channel on it to keep it from happening. Until then, I think you'll find it's still worth it's weight in vaping gold. My P+'s were.

I personally wouldn't call it a 'design flaw', these things are round so a round button makes sense aesthetically and it does work. A flaw implies something that needs fixing to work. That button is designed to prevent inadvertent locking when chain vaping hehe.

I suppose it depends on how you define flaw. With a revolver, we've come to expect that when we fire cycle it, the cylinder lines up the next bullet with the barrel. Does a revolver that doesn't do that considered needing a fix? Imagine lining up the cylinders after every shot. It still works but it's not easy to use. Imagine a mouse button you had to look at to make sure you clicked it correctly. The button on the ELA can still be round at the top for aesthetics but the post can be channeled or ovalized to stop the spinning. The rest of the ELA is designed for user friendliness, no reason the lock can't follow suit. No doubt in time it will be. It took years before the PC got a working mouse. It's all an evolution.

The button was purpose built the way it is. A channel can't be added as many think, 90 degree edges riding up and down = non smooth and sticky buttons. An oval could be done, but it would be very costly.

I've said it before and its worth repeating. The P+ and ELA button to me is one of the most unique locking buttons in the industry. It was purpose made to stand out from the crowd. Sure, it takes a few seconds to line up to lock, but its uniqueness and function really sets it apart from the sea of bland mods out there. Just my .02...

I agree. Your 2 cents are why we gladly pay 2 cents x 1000:)

At first I thought, gee I wish it would not move, but after working with it for a short while I saw the reason for it. I like that it takes a little work to align it, as Magic said, it beats accidental locks. After a while it seem to get smoother , for those that feel the slide is a bit stiff, but it also stops spinning as much, odd , but true. My lock seems to stay in the right position most of the time so that when I ready to lock it I dont have to spend too much time getting it on the first try.

I even manage to lock it while driving with one hand now. The only thing I can think of that might help those on the go, would be to drill a small indent in the middle of the slide part so one can do it one handed or in dark, by feeling the dent and sliding without actually having to see.

I love the button now.

My first microcoil!

Build: .26 gauge kanthal wrapped 10 times around my micro screwdriver/sterilized cotton wicking/measured .85 ohms.

Best vape experience I have ever had!

I finally got around to looking through my o-rings to find the one I needed to match my favorite tip (Super-T Tanbur Stainless Steel T-Tip) to my KL.

I may be sick today, but I am celebrating my ONE YEAR SMOKE FREE very happily at home tonight!
