I have not bought any. I only get 'hot button' when I vape at ohms < .6.

Cucco doesn't have ANY hd springs! Alert the presses! We've found a Super-T product Cucco hasn't bought! lol ;)

I tried to buy some a little while back, had them in my cart, but sold out before I completed checkout.

I considered it! But, my 'happy place' is .6. I figured I would just quit playing with the lower ohms. I never get 'hot button' at .6. :)

I read somewhere the heavy duty springs could help prevent this. Anyone got an extra?

I saw your post on SuperT Family Facebook page....They do not help....I sold one to a guy in California/He was on the SuperT family Facebook page, likes the low ohm coils like yourself.....At first he thought the Heavy Duty spring helped.........Same problem with his ELA/Heavy duty spring setup.....Hot button......... I think you are getting some sort of short with your atty.......???

Ya like Riverboat said a hot button usually means a short somewhere in the atty..

Could also be a bad battery, check them for tears in the cover

My :2c:

Good luck, hope you solve the issue.

Here is what David said re: the HD spring when another member was getting a hot button:

The spring does aid in the grounding, but most if it goes through friction with the button and bottom cap. The HD spring is only a few thousandths bigger in diameter, so it shouldn't make a significant diffence. One area many people miss when cleaning, is the inside of the bottom cap where the button passes through, this is where the electricity flows, from the inside of the bottom cap to the button. Wrap a bit of fine sand paper (400+ grit) around a sharpie and spin it inside the bottom Cap. Usually if your button is getting so hot you can't touch it though, it's a short, though increased resistance from being dirty can build up heat. If its just getting warm, that's one thing, if its getting so hot you can't touch it, you have short.

and

I forgot to mention in my above post, visualize the current returning from the atomizer and what junctions it has to cross to return to the bottom of the battery. Another critical junction is the compression ring to extension tube junction. If you remove the compression ring and look inside, you'll see an aluminum band in there, hit that with a bit of fine sandpaper or steel wool too. I've been meaning to put some of those up on the site too as spare parts since there only a few bucks and easy to switch out. If you overtighten the compression ring, the aluminum band inside can deform and loose some of its clamping ability.

I wonder if the ELA flat bottom will have contacts or do we use our existing contacts

Yes, we've finalized the design and are programming it as we speak. You will use your existing button and contact. Our CNC is an advanced machine with multi axis machining capabilities, so we can not only turn, but we can mill too which allowed us to come up with what we believe is a very clever and integrated solution: By making a flat bottom cap that screws on in place of the slanted one and positions the button just slightly below deck with a catch, we machined out a pocket in it for the locking mechanism to slide into to lock.

It's the cats meow...I'll probably put them up for sale on Tuesday. I'll have some pics mid week too if you are having trouble visualizing.

So Cali
I'm putting faith on all ela testimonials. Because I've purchased all the options minus brass tube including preorder of the strata. I have all the bips and bops ...but with an order #167..I've got 2mnths more till the elusive ELa arrives. Based on Dave's last update. Guess he's not going to make the deadline of completing all 2013 ela orders. Guess I should happy able to snatch up a cancelled order back in AUG! Now to stalk the super t site for those flatbottom switches
