Not such a bad idea, I get the point. But for me the tricky part when I try to lock/unlock with the flat bottom is to actually get my finger in the space, grab the lock somehow and lock it without pushing the button. Weird thing is I can do that 10 times successfuly and think I get the trick, and next try there's just no way I can lock it, no matter what :D

Ive been looking at that rendering, and yes, it does look rather dull and the depth around the button bad, But if the depth was just shallow enough to get your finger on the slide , it might not look so bad.

Problem is that most of the users are men and mens fingers are usually larger than mine so its harder to get it in there enough to move the slide lock.

In the future just to keep people happy and to offer different looks for the ELA, maybe a bottom piece similar in idea of the Satburn but more refined as Super T but with a button replacement with a "P" like those on the Simplicity. Still utilizeing the original bottom contact , but slides over it, with a twist lock?

My mind of course keeps going. The ELA just reeks of so much potential in customizing. I think the next possible update could be the locking ring. Insead of being knurled a beautiful smooth design with some vertical notches, not like the King, but some plain smooth chambered lines.

Or actually some horizontal lines to match the lines on the accent ring on the bottom?

BTW, I love the knurling, but I know when I was showing it off during the initial pre-order so many said they did not "care for knurling" or that they didnt "care for the butto........

But many of those are now beating their self over not getting an ELA.

I'm not sorry. I still think it would work and still look beautiful. IMHO

It will certainly work, that has been confirmed by Mr. Super-T himself, go for it if you have the tools, I would if I felt the same way. You should see some modified golf clubs I have in the garage, I can take a divot on pavement.

Looks awesome with that brass button eternalsurf! Would anyone like me to run a batch of those brass non locking buttons, we could probably squeeze some in in a couple of weeks if there is enough interest?
Any more news on this? Is it still a possibility?
