I will have to send them back to you. I hate doing that, you know how crazy I am about them.
I also wanted to let you know how reluctant I was about posting "problems" I hate to "mar" the reputation, but I also did not want to keep it a "secret" . I think that sharing problems is just as important as praising the quality of a product. I know others have had theirs as long as I have and theirs are perfectly performing. Either I have the ones in a million, or Im doing something wrong.
Here is a recap.
Both ELAs work sporadically, with satin working better.
Here are the symptoms. Sometimes they work fine. Other times they don't fire or fires weak. Then as the button rotates it will lose conductivity. I can spin it around till I find the "sweet spot" then again it will spin and stop working. Button then becomes hot as its still making contact with battery but not sending electricity to atomizer.
Its odd as it will sometimes work better when ELA is not on snug, with a rattle it performs better, irritating but at least it works. So with that, I added a second o-ring, and it seems to help. This doesn't make sense.
This can come on quickly or slowly over time which then causes me to apply more pressure and makes the locking ring slip. Then it becomes almost impossible to keep it tight without having to really tighten down hard, which I don't what to do and ruin my last compression ring and mar my tube.
The telescopic tube on polished is worn where the locking ring keeps of the slipping because of the loss of conductivity. Its hard to figure out what is actually happening, but can only come to the conclusion that it has to be the button mechanism. I switched out the buttons from polished to satin and then it started happening to the satin.
Someone posted about how they noticed their bottom contact had sharp uneven edges and that is the only thing I can think of that is happening. If it works sometimes and turning the button makes a difference is the only thing makes sense. Unevenness means that its not making complete contact as its not flat and covering the whole area. I can sometimes feel the power sputtering.
I will see about packaging them up and sending them back.
Either way, though its depressing, its why I got a Super-T device. I have the confidence that it will be taken care of.
