Military grade night vision goggles, now that's something I don't have! I've thought about getting some, but there is always something else higher up on the list. I bet once you get them, all of a sudden you find yourself being a night prowler lol.

:) I can tell lots of stories about what I have seen people do in the dark of the night. People are funny.

Critters are incredible to watch at night! It's amazing what can be lurking right around you. It's like daylight, but they think you can't see them. It's very cool.

Just got back from Alaska, and had my ELA waiting for me. ELA with 18650 (NCR18650PDs - 10A continuous, 18A burst, 2900mAh), accent ring, and kayfun lite.

So far, working well. I'm one of the ones who got the brass contact, so hopefully will get the rhodium plated replacement soon. So far, so good; took a while to get the accent ring o-ring on, ended up using a tool to stretch it instead of my fingers over the extension tube, was very easy that way. Wish the repeated estimates on delivery hadn't been so far off (really wanted to take it with me to Alaska) but I'm certainly happy with the quality, construction, and look of the ELA now that I have it. Definitely a step above any other mod I've used.

I'm running a 5-wrap of 28ga A1 Kanthal on an 'S' wick of 2mm Ekowool (1.2 ohms), and the vape is amazing. At 3.7v, that's 11.4 watts @ 3.1A. At 4.2v (fresh battery), 14.7W @ 3.5A. We'll see if I drop to 4 wraps after this battery wears down a bit, don't want the vape to degrade too much.

One thing I did notice is the accent ring is very sharp at the top lip. I may just not use it in 18650 mode, as it's cutting into my finger with the way I hold the ELA. Perhaps I'll only use it in 18500 mode. I'd love to see an 18650 mode accent ring hint hint David.

I don't want to know what people do in the dark of night, the thought actually scares me lol. But absolutely with the little critters at arms length, that would fascinate me to no end. Maybe time to bump that one up the list to must have :)

No reason why you can't take some SS polish to smooth out the edge - to the eye you would notice it.
I also would like to see a trim ring that covers the distance when in 18650 mode.

Shove the accent ring up to your atomizer. The sharp edge butts up against the top cap. Most folks seem to be doing that way. Otherwise if you want it where you have it, turn the accent ring around and .... the sharp edge 'gainst the knurling.

Theres a super -T lounge? I never knew. I used to hang out on the ECF chat room but it got unpleasant after a while.

Not that long ago I ended up on vape thread trying to get some info about something. The discussion there was downright rude, swearing all over the place and I mean no-holds-barred language. Not that I can't take it, funny at first but that gets real old fast. Me in my bow-tie & white shirt thought OH GOSH! ... then hopped in the buggy and got out of there lickety-split!

I think I'll check out the Super-T lounge and see if it's active and then report back, what the heck ...

LOL, its not so much the language, its the really off topics, too much hate and rage on world politics and when someone new in the vaping scene would come on instead of being helpful, they would just "play" with them, put down their newbie choices, start to put down what ever they deemed as inferior etc.

Not everyone was like that , but it made me avoid the ECF chat after a while. It was kind of a bummer because there were a few really nice people on there I missed.

Heh. I used to hang out on ecf chat but I got banned for violating some arbitrary unpublished rule that they themselves ignore. The admins there are useless, controlling, condescending, and have double standards. Attempts to plead my case have been ignored, and summary judgment was passed without debate. They aren't even capable of properly administering an IRC server, relying on channel-by-channel bans rather than k-lines. Ecf chat has no redeeming qualities.

One wonders what sort of credentials elevated the current irc sovereignty to their positions of power? Obviously not experience or ability. I'd guess cronyism of some sort.
