So Cali
Excellent and congrats! Question, did you just discover the ELA or were you aware of it and had to think about it awhile? For me, read the description on the Super-T site, gave it 5 minutes to sink in, read it again, said adios to Caravela chasing and ordered.

Same as you..read about it on the website, fell in luv immediately...fell off the Vela bandwagon and now trolling the production of ela thread. I owned the ggts and luved the versality of it, able to chang3 battery sizes 18350/18490 on the fly without swapping tubes or adding extensions..but the play of the telescopic tube and crushing the battery springs to keep it from wobbling bothered me....ELA just looks badass...plus the rheubidium plating and lifetime warranty including finishing (i believe)...i was sold!

Jkim, the ELA is already awesome without your having to make stuff up about it. :)

Rheubidium: a 1000 Island dressing / sauerkraut alloy able to withstand the most crusty rye and the cornedest beef.

But yeah, you're absolutely going to dig the telescoping action of the ELA. Twisty tubes are so 2012. There's no wobble, no play, and no cranking tension into a spring to make that happen.

Ragnarok, you'll probably see your ELA mid-October to early November I'd guess. It's completely worth the wait. Even if you don't think it's the best mod you've ever used, you can probably still trade it for your unicorn. But whatever you'd trade it for won't be as good.

Yes, and rock solid with no wobbling in any battery config.

I haven't seen any updates lately. Anyone know where David is on orders? Say, one placed in early June?

David posted this on the 16th ...
Still working on thru 15331 which I should have shipped by mid week next week. Towards the end of next week i'll start working on thru 15424.

Off topic question for all you SS gurus..

I have a Diver that I got in trade and it's scratched up pretty good. It's made from 304 SS.. Any help on getting the scratches out?

I've found that those 4 sided nail buffing blocks work amazingly well at polishing out those kinds of scratches.
I have an old 510 adapter that I use as a drill adapter. Use the drill to spin the atty against the buffing block.

I won't promise that the Diver logo will survive but the scratch will be gone.

You weren't kidding about being OCD about scratches and stuff, that little guy is going inside a tank you know. :D

Mounting it in a drill and some sandpaper in hand would clean it up quickly. Personally I'd give it a little rub with Autosol and then set it up. :)

I know but scratches drive me crazy! Oh wait, I am already crazy. LOL

It's my 3rd Diver and it's mainly going to be used with the Grail so the tube will probably just sit an collect dust anyway but it's bothering me! LOL

Diver #1 in a 22mm SnP tank for use with Roller.

Diver #2 in a 23mm SnP tank for use on my ELA

Diver #3 in Grail for dripping with Roller and ELA!

For a date reference, order 15527 was placed 04/22. It is helpful when David adds a date reference to the orders shipped (hint, hint ;))

Curious: what would that buy us, information-wise?

Ya it's really hard to tell because there could have been 200 orders for other stuff between ELA's or there could have been 50 straight ELA orders..

So 200 order # could contain one ELA or 200 order # could contain 50 ELA's

It's really impossible to gauge..

It is impossible to gauge the number of ELA orders between order numbers or dates ordered, but the date does provide a little more information as to where shipping is at. Some of the updates in the Status thread do have the order date and the order number.

What is the problem? Are you saying you damaged either the sliding P lock or the area it slides in? Both?
