I think it was explained before, The ELA parts were finished months ago. The parts unfortunately are only assembled and hand finihshed and tested by David and only David. The other parts for the other devices were machined after ELA parts were done. THe simplicity , though a great item and very very well made can be assembled and polished and tested by the other more than qualified people in the production house. The ELA being twice the price and having more than twice the pieces is Davids "FLagship" and he is the only one assembleing and finishing etc. He does have people bring in the parts and put them on the assembly table with the orders and he goes thru each and everyone of them at a time, making sure first that all the parts are there according to the order, that all pieces are without a flaw, that they all fit together flawlessly and if there is a problem then he hand turns, or whatever to its precise tolerances. If a part just isnt right then he re turns the piece etc. One ELA can take from a couple hours or more depending on each one individually.

He said fromt the beginning of the introduction of the Simplicity that it was NOT Going to interfere with the ELA production. I can only assume this is true. He knew that people might get upset if they were waiting and other things were being made.

Im sure he will assure you all again.

Unfortunately ARMYVAPR, the ELA is out of stock. There were 2 batches and both are sold out. It will possibly be back in production but I would safely say not till after the year. It went on pre-sale in Dec 2012 and I think the last unit sold in May?

Now there are cancellations and then they go online for sale. When they get put up is not really known, but generally in the early morning or when someone comes online and announces they have cancelled. The ELA will show out of stock , but if there is one available it will let you place it in the cart even if it shows out of stock, just take a chance and place one in the cart. If you you are able to check out , its yours.

WHen the 2nd batch is sent out the leftovers will be placed on line then also. For now unless you get one in the classifieds or get lucky to get a cancelled unit its unavailable. Its an amazing device, and hopefully Super-t will manufacture more in the future. It was not supposed to be a limited run but turned out to be a LOT more work than originally thought. If and when it does come back it will not be the same price and will not come with all the extras it came with on the pre-order.

I wish you luck. Maybe you can try one of the Simplicity devices. They are great devices with similar features, just at a lower price point. Still most people love it and find it just as great as other devices at twice the price.

We ought to make a new thread called ELA shipping delay complaints. David or another mod could move the griping and .....ing comments there, where they can be treated with the amount of indifference they deserve.

Whoever has a problem with waiting for your ELA or your .... wasn't kissed enough with progress updates or you're upset that a forum contains more thorough and updated information than the storefront website, or you think you know a better way to run a business, please, do yourselves and everybody else a favor and fracking deal with it in whatever way doesn't involve us.

If you can't stand it, cancel your order and no hard feelings. There's someone like armyvapr hoping to take your spot. If you don't want to give up your spot, then whatever is bothering you, grin and bear it. This .....ing isn't going to get you your ELA any more quickly. If anything, it'll be the opposite if David stops production long enough to read and respond.

I hate to say it but you ELA'ers are in for a LONG wait now..

This same thing happened in the S6 thread.. There were 2 or 3 users who kept posting the same thing over and over and over and over and over again..

Complaining about the wait..

It flat out ruined the thread and put a quick halt to all the fun we other users were having..

I hate to say it, but you might be in for a fun'less, stress filled, and down the drain thread form here on out..

Disagree raqball, I understand why some peeps are upset - their gripe is not meritless and it's ok to vent a little (quite understandable). Just because some of us have the patience to wait does not mean that we should try to impose that mindset on others, we are all different. All have the option to cancel (as you have done by the way) and go for something else that catches their eye. But more often than not it would be settling for something less which was never in the game plan. We have a good thread here with peeps from all around the world, a little understanding goes a long way and we should not polarize ourselves to one side or the other as both are true.

Does Super-T make the best damn telescoping mod in the world, you bet!
Did Super-T blow it on the estimated delivery date for pre-orders, you bet!

My only consoling advice for those who are frustrated with the wait is that your discerning eye for superior craftsmanship, quality and design is why you are here, there really isn't an acceptable alternative available. Don't compromise yourself by settling for something less, you will eventually hit that date when you would have had your ELA in hand and then probably 2nd guess the value of what you are holding from that day forward. You already have time invested, stay the course, there is a big smile at the end of this tunnel if you can hang in there.

If the limit was not one per person.. I'd be all over it like a cheap suit..

2 of them for $800? Wow you a lot of money to burn:evil:
Hey, hey, hey...

Just a head up to you ELA'ers..

There is only one Ti 18350 left!
I am a ELA'er the last thing I would want is a Ti Smplicity 18350......ELA # 1 in my book!

Hum, means you already have the capital so giving up the ELA was not part of the equation

I cancelled my ELA because telescopics are no longer my thing. Needing moola and / or the wait had nothing to do with my choice.

I had been searching and searching for a Titanium mod for a while.. All I could find was mods with writing and logos all over the tube. And I mean like laughable writing and logos. Some of these mod makers destroy what could be a great looking mod with all that crap they pile onto the tube..

In the end, I am still doubting my decision to cancel the ELA. Not because I think I'd like a telescopic, but because it's an ELA and made by the man himself..

No, not really.. I'm retired (took an early one when I was 43) and I refuse to work anymore so my retirement income is all I have.. But.... I have been looking high and low for a 18350 Titanium mod for a while now..

Trust me, I don't have moola to burn.. If I could buy a 2nd I'd be selling a bunch of stuff in the classified to cover the cost of # 2
