Never laughed at a joke that someone else might find equally offensive? Rape, mental ......ation, physical deformities, sexual orientation, the list goes on. I'm not trying to start an argument, but it seems a bit hypocritical to bash people for enjoying a joke that you personally find offensive, when you've probably enjoyed jokes about similar sensitive subjects.
I was talking earlier today with Jerry Green of Aroma ejuice. He's my ejuice supplier (the WTA innovator) who lives in Phoenix. We were Internet acquaintances and then became real life friends when we met in person.
We were talking today about how stupid it is to judge people (good or bad) based on these tiny snippets of words. Certainly if an enormous pattern emerges over a long period of time you might be able to do it, but otherwise there is no way we can possibly know what a person and their life is really like. I might be charming here and really be an ogre, or someone may make one three word offhand remark which paints them totally incorrectly.
Very few of us show our true colors in this joint. It isn't possible.

I can certainly relate to, how hard it is to deal with the ugly realities you are faced with, when volunteering there. Personally, I will never 'unsee', the horrors I have seen cancer create.
I can understand having a 'raw' spot. But, others on here, are dealing with ugly realities in their own lives too. We are all just doing the best we can, with what we have. Nobody on here should be 'flamed at', 'smacked-down', or 'bullied'. That hits a raw spot with me. I can't 'not' defend against that. A great deal of damage, can be done at the other end of the keyboard. We should be mindful of that.
That joke/comment was not directed toward children, in any way at all. It was obviously not meant to attack anyone or any group of people either. No one was laughing at people with cancer. If he said "my ELA cured aids" or "my ELA brought my grandmother back from the dead!", would you be upset? I think the comment was meant as "my ELA is amazing", not "cancer is hilarious, lets laugh at people with cancer".
Is anyone using candle wicks as a wick? Someone at the vape shop today, was saying they work great. Any thoughts?
From the wiki - Candle wicks are normally made out of braided cotton.

Hey Cucco, theoretically, any absorbent wicking material that doesn't release anything harmful in contact with a hot coil will work. Once you can be sure the material is safe at vaping temperatures, the three important factors I can see are flavor, absorbancy, and durability. 
I come from a different perspective - it's not that a person may be something other than what is presented, or that what is presented might offend me, but that I have the inability to see reality either way. Sure, things wrankle me. Why just the other day I flamed the crap out of someone. But it takes a loooong time of repeated offenses before I lose it. Please, let's not find out how nasty I can get, shall we? I don't take sides when everyone's a m or on, just ask the guys at work.
Hello, I am on the hunt for an ELA. Does anyone know when preorders will reopen?
Since I don't have an ELA I shall leave this little area to 'the gang' who will undoubtedly continue to overrun it..
The people who have been PM'ing me (I have about 75 PM's), stand up for yourselves and say something or let it continue.. The choice is yours.....
I suppose non gang members can just stop reading and coming here but that would be a shame since they spent hard earned doe on the ELA..
