So as someone who has been using the ELA for months now I thought I would share some tips that I have come across in my usage. Now I don't know if this information has been shared yet, there are far too many posts to check at this point.. but it wouldn't hurt to be reminded of this.
When you first get your ELA you might think "Man... this isn't hitting as hard as I thought it would..." But do not be afraid! Trust me the ELA hits HARD.. but you must set it up correctly. The telescopic section may make for easy size change and battery replacement.. but it leads to the first problem.. connection tightness.
When i change my batteries i slightly unscrew my top cap, put the battery in and tighten the locking ring like normal.. but then when you tighten down the top cap it makes for a much tighter connection which will be the first step in eliminating voltage drop.
Next you may find yourself unscrewing the firing pin to make sure you get a flush mount and then tightening it finger tight to the 510 connection of your atty. Trust me, you don't have to be THAT gentle with the rhodium.. it's pretty hard. What I do is repeat what I just said.. but then i take the atty off and screw the ELA firing pin in just a bit more so that when i tighten my atty down I feel resistance and then am able to flush it after about a third of a turn. This, again, will tighten the electrical connection and help eliminate voltage drop.
Trust me, these steps make a big difference, and I have found this will help negate the switch shocking you at lower ohms.
Now go forth and vape hard!
