Not my photo but I do have one coming. I will report here how it works for those curious. I like the original button but this might be a little more stand up friendly.

I think they shipped yesterday.. I have 2 on the way but I bet we don't get them until right before New Years with waiting on them to get through customs and then slow poke USPS.

Thanks for the pict , Rise, it looks nice, not as unique or as pretty as the stock button, but at least its a nice choice for those that love their ELA but would feel more secure with a flat button.

Maybe it will give Super T an idea ; (hint hint) It just nice to have a choice and it would be best if made by Super T.

I was offered in on that, but I didn't want any. For me, it takes away from the beauty. And, with cats, I would not dare stand my ELAs on end. There is not a flat bottom big enough, to stop my cats from tipping them over. In my house, ELAs have nice, safe, little beds(trays). :)

I also would not need it or want it, I love the Precise button. its unique and I stand mine up all the time. But like with everything its nice to have a choice.

I love the regular button too, not like I'm throwing it away by any means I just like to tinker I guess. I'd probably buy super ts old socks if he put them up for sale.

It's funny. I came to Super-T to just buy a mod and a backup mod. I had no intention of becoming a fan! But now, thousands of dollars later, I guess I have to say: Hello, my name is Lorrie, and I am a Super-T fan! :)

The button is the one thing that I am not thrilled with on the ELA.. I like it well enough but I have to fumble with it to get it in the right position for locking it..

Maybe I just need to fumble with it more and it will become 2nd nature,,

I have this same problem push and turn is the best method I found but its scary when it fires haha. Over time it has loosened up and locked easier.

Ya I like what rojo did with his.. Would def help in getting it lined up properly!

The button is smooth and it fires every time without fail. It's an awesome button don't get me wrong.. Locking is a bit of a pain in the rear if it's dark or while driving.. That's really my only issue with it..

What did rojo do to his button?

Here you go..

So, I did this to my ELA a few weeks ago, and I've been debating whether to share or not. I guess it's about time.

In my home theater, in my car, in a dark parking lot, and in other unforeseen circumstances, it's not always practical to have to look at the locking slider to lock the ELA. After a particularly fitful evening of fumbling with the lock in the dark, I decided some indentations in the lock slider's ends would help me line up the slider with the arch by touch. So I drilled a shallow depression into each side with a 3/16" bit.

Turns out, though, that making a hollow big enough to feel leaves a sharp, unpleasant edge. So I filled the cavities with silicone sealer.

It's not pretty, but it works great. The ends of the lock slider are squishy and surprisingly satisfying to squeeze. My source of stress has been turned into a sort of stress ball, and I can easily lock my ELA in the dark now.

I kind of agree, the button is a character note for me as well. The flat button, I can see the use but it may get lost in the swarm of mods that some of us do not need :).
Oh, cats? I have cats and huge dogs they are not a primary reason of fear when standing up. I fear me . As wife and I have many and one hits the floor or rolls off a table, I have learned to yell the animals names like they did it. Only worked for a week as, she started to understand my game when she knew the animals where outside

Makes me think about drilling a hole in the locking piece and installing a tritium "dot"...
